| ☞시49:1 | 악장을 따라 부른 코라의 아들들을 위한 시너희 모든 백성들아, 이것을 들으라. 세상의 모든 거민들아, 귀를 기울이라. Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world： | |||
| ☞시49:2 | 낮은 자나 높은 자나, 부한 자나 가난한 자나 다 함께 들을지어다. Both low and high, rich and poor, together. | |||
| ☞시49:3 | 내 입은 지혜를 말하고 내 마음의 묵상은 명철을 가져오리라. My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding. | |||
| ☞시49:4 | 내가 내 귀를 비유에 기울이고 나의 난해한 말을 하프 위에 펼치리라. I will incline mine ear to a parable： I will open my dark saying upon the harp. | |||
| ☞시49:5 | 내 뒤를 쫓는 죄악이 나를 에워싸는 악한 날에 내가 어찌 두려워하리요? Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about? | |||
| ☞시49:6 | 자신의 재물을 의지하고 부유함을 스스로 자랑하는 자들 중에 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; | |||
| ☞시49:7 | 어떤 수단으로라도 자기 형제를 구속하거나 그를 위하여 하나님께 몸값을 바쳐 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him： | |||
| ☞시49:8 | (이는 그들의 혼의 구속은 귀한 것이요, 그것은 영원히 멈추게 됨이라.) (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:) | |||
| ☞시49:9 | 그로 영원히 살고 썩어짐을 보지 않게 할 자는 아무도 없도다. That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption. | |||
| ☞시49:10 | 이는 어리석은 자들과 잔인한 자들이 죽는 것과 같이 현명한 자들도 죽으며 그들의 재산을 다른 이들에게 남겨 주는 것을 그가 봄이라. For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others. | |||
| ☞시49:11 | 그들은 자기들의 집이 영원히 존속하고 자기들의 처소가 대대로 이어지리라고 속으로 생각하며 자기들의 토지를 자기들 이름으로 부르는도다. Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names. | |||
| ☞시49:12 | 사람이 존귀할지라도 오래 살지 못하니, 그가 멸망하는 짐승들과 같도다. Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not： he is like the beasts that perish. | |||
| ☞시49:13 | 그들의 이 길이 그들의 미련함이니, 그들의 후대가 그들의 말을 증명하리라. 셀라. This their way is their folly： yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah. | |||
| ☞시49:14 | 그들이 양처럼 음부에 있으니, 사망이 그들을 먹이리라. 또 정직한 자가 아침에 그들을 다스리리니, 그들의 아름다움이 그들의 거처에서 떠나 음부에서 소멸되어 없어지리라. Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. | |||
| ☞시49:15 | 그러나 하나님은 내 혼을 음부의 권세에서 구속하시리니, 그가 나를 받아 주시리라. 셀라. But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave： for he shall receive me. Selah. | |||
| ☞시49:16 | 누군가가 부해지고 그 집의 영화가 커질 때 너는 두려워 말라. Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; | |||
| ☞시49:17 | 이는 그가 죽으면 아무것도 가져갈 수 없기 때문이니, 그의 영화가 그 사람을 따라 내려가지 못하리라. For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away： his glory shall not descend after him. | |||
| ☞시49:18 | 그가 살아 있을 동안에 자기 혼을 축복하였고, 네가 네 자신에게 잘 행하여 사람들이 너를 칭찬할지라도 Though while he lived he blessed his soul： and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. | |||
| ☞시49:19 | 그가 자기 열조에게로 가리니, 그들이 결코 빛을 보지 못하리라. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light. | |||
| ☞시49:20 | 사람이 존귀에 처해 있어도 깨닫지 못하면 멸망하는 짐승들과 같도다. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish. | |||
