| ☞시40:1 | 악장을 따라 부른 다윗의 시내가 오래 참고 주를 기다렸더니 그가 내게 귀를 기울이사 내 부르짖음을 들으셨도다. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. | |||
| ☞시40:2 | 그가 나를 무서운 구덩이와 진흙 수렁에서 끌어내셔서 내 발을 반석 위에 세우시고 내 걸음을 견고히 세우셨도다. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. | |||
| ☞시40:3 | 또 그가 내 입에 새 노래를 두셨으니, 곧 우리 하나님께 드릴 찬양이라. 많은 사람들이 그것을 보고 두려워하며 주를 의지하리로다. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God： many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. | |||
| ☞시40:4 | 주를 의지하고 교만한 자를 존경하지 않으며 거짓에 치우치지 아니하는 사람은 복이 있도다. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. | |||
| ☞시40:5 | 오 주 나의 하나님이여, 주께서 행하신 주의 경이로운 일들이 많으며 우리를 향하신 주의 생각도 많나이다. 내가 그것들을 선언하고 말하려 하나 주께 정연하게 헤아려 드릴 수도 없고 많아서 셀 수도 없나이다. Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward： they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee： if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. | |||
| ☞시40:6 | 주께서는 희생제와 예물을 바라지 않으시고, 주께서 내 귀를 열어 주셨으며, 번제와 속죄제도 요구하지 아니하셨나이다. Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened： burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. | |||
| ☞시40:7 | 그때 내가 말하였나니, 보소서, 내가 왔나이다. 나에 관하여 기록한 것이 두루마리책에 있나이다. Then said I, Lo, I come： in the volume of the book it is written of me, | |||
| ☞시40:8 | 오 나의 하나님이여, 내가 주의 뜻 행하기를 기뻐하오니, 정녕, 주의 법이 나의 마음 속에 있나이다. I delight to do thy will, O my God： yea, thy law is within my heart. | |||
| ☞시40:9 | 내가 큰 회중 가운데서 의를 전파하였나이다. 보소서, 내가 내 입술을 억제하지 아니하였나니, 오 주여, 주께서 아시나이다. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation： lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. | |||
| ☞시40:10 | 내가 주의 의를 내 마음 속에 숨기지 아니하고 주의 신실하심과 주의 구원을 선언하였나이다. 주의 자애와 주의 진리를 내가 그 큰 회중 가운데서 숨기지 않았나이다. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation： I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation. | |||
| ☞시40:11 | 오 주여, 주의 온유한 자비를 내게서 거두지 마시고 주의 자애와 진리로 계속해서 나를 보호하소서. Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD： let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. | |||
| ☞시40:12 | 헤아릴 수 없이 많은 재앙들이 나를 에워쌌고, 내 죄악들이 나를 붙들고 있으므로 내가 쳐다볼 수도 없나이다. 그것들이 나의 머리털보다도 많으므로 내가 낙심하였나이다. For innumerable evils have compassed me about： mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head： therefore my heart faileth me. | |||
| ☞시40:13 | 오 주여, 나를 구하시는 것을 기뻐하소서. 오 주여, 속히 나를 도와 주소서. Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me： O LORD, make haste to help me. | |||
| ☞시40:14 | 내 혼을 찾아서 그것을 파멸시키려고 하는 자들을 부끄럽게 하시고 당황하게 하소서. 내게 재앙이 임하기를 바라는 자들로 뒤로 물러가 수치를 당하게 하소서. Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil. | |||
| ☞시40:15 | 내게 "아하, 아하."라 말하는 자들이 그들의 수치의 대가로 인하여 절망하게 하소서. Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha. | |||
| ☞시40:16 | 주를 찾는 모든 자들로 즐거워하고 주 안에서 기뻐하게 하시며, 주의 구원을 사랑하는 자로 끊임없이 말하기를 "주께서는 존귀를 받으소서." 하게 하소서. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee： let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified. | |||
| ☞시40:17 | 나는 가난하고 궁핍해도 주께서 나를 생각하시나니, 주는 나의 도움이시요 구원하시는 분이시니이다. 오 나의 하나님이여, 지체하지 마소서. But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me： thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God. | |||
