■ 시편[Psalms]140장(시140)

악장을 따라 부른 다윗의 시오 주여, 악한 자로부터 나를 구하시고 포악한 자로부터 나를 보호하소서.

Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man： preserve me from the violent man;

그들이 마음 속에 악한 것들을 계획하며 싸우기 위하여 계속해서 함께 모이나이다.

Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.

그들이 자기들의 혀를 뱀처럼 날카롭게 하였으며, 그들의 입술 아래에는 독사의 독이 있나이다. 셀라.

They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.

오 주여, 악인의 손에서 나를 지켜 주시고 포악한 자로부터 나를 보호하소서. 그들이 나의 발걸음을 뒤집으려 하나이다.

Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

교만한 자들이 나를 해치려고 올무와 줄들을 숨겨 두었으며, 길 옆에 그물을 쳐 놓았고, 나를 잡으려고 덫을 놓았나이다. 셀라.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.

내가 주께 말씀드리기를 "주는 나의 하나님이시니, 오 주여, 나의 간구하는 음성을 들으소서." 하였나이다.

I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God： hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.

내 구원의 능력이신, 오 주 하나님이여, 주께서는 전쟁의 날에 내 머리를 가리셨나이다.

O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

오 주여, 악인의 욕망들을 허락하지 마시고 더우기 그의 악한 꾀는 허락하지 마시사 그들로 자고하지 못하게 하소서. 셀라.

Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked： further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.

나를 에워싼 자들의 머리에 관하여는, 그들 입술의 해악으로 그것들을 덮게 하소서.

As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

불붙은 숯불이 그들 위에 떨어지게 하시고, 그들로 불 속 깊은 구덩이에 던져져서 다시 일어나지 못하게 하소서.

Let burning coals fall upon them： let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

악담하는 자는 지상에서 굳게 서지 못할 것이요, 재앙은 포악한 자를 뒤쫓아가 넘어뜨리리라.

Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth： evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

주께서 고난받는 자의 청원과 가난한 자의 권리를 지켜 주실 것을 내가 아나이다.

I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.

진실로 의인이 주의 이름에 감사를 드리리니, 정직한 자가 주의 면전에 거하리이다.

Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name： the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
