| ☞렘40:1 | 예루살렘과 유다로부터 바빌론으로 잡혀가는 모든 사람 가운데 예레미야도 사슬에 묶여 끌려가다가, 경호대장 느부살아단이 라마에서 예레미야를 풀어 준 후 말씀이 주로부터 예레미야에게 임하였더라. The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon. | |||
| ☞렘40:2 | 그러므로 경호대장이 예레미야를 데려다가 그에게 말하기를 "주 너의 하나님께서 이 재앙을 이 곳에 선포하셨느니라. And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place. | |||
| ☞렘40:3 | 주께서는 그가 말씀하신 대로 실행하셨으니, 이는 너희가 주를 거역하여 죄를 지었고 그의 음성에 복종하지 아니하였으므로, 이 일이 너희에게 임한 것이니라. Now the LORD hath brought it, and done according as he hath said： because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you. | |||
| ☞렘40:4 | 이제 보라, 내가 오늘 내 손에 있는 사슬에서 너를 풀어 주노라. 만일 나와 함께 바빌론으로 가는 것을 좋게 여기거든 오라. 그리하면 내가 너를 잘 돌보아 주리라. 그러나 만일 네가 나와 함께 바빌론으로 가는 것을 나쁘게 여기거든 그만두라. 보라, 온 땅이 네 앞에 있나니 어디로 가든지 네가 좋게 여기고 편리하게 여기는 대로 가라." 하더라. And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee： but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear： behold, all the land is before thee： whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go. | |||
| ☞렘40:5 | 그때 예레미야가 아직 돌아가지 아니하였는데 그가 말하기를 "너는 바빌론 왕이 유다 성읍들을 다스릴 총독으로 삼으신 사판의 손자요, 아히캄의 아들인 그달랴에게로 돌아가서 그와 함께 백성 가운데 거하거나, 어디든지 네가 가기에 편하다고 여기는 곳으로 가라." 하고 그 경호대장이 식량과 선물을 그에게 주며 보내더라. Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people： or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go. | |||
| ☞렘40:6 | 예레미야가 미스파에 아히캄의 아들 그달랴에게로 가서 그 땅에 남아 있는 백성들 가운데서 그와 함께 거하니라. Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land. | |||
| ☞렘40:7 | 이제 들에 있는 군대의 모든 대장들과 그들의 부하들은 바빌론 왕이 아히캄의 아들 그달랴를 그 땅의 총독으로 세워, 바빌론으로 끌려가지 아니한 남자들과 여자들과 아이들과 그 땅의 가난한 자들을 그에게 위임하였다는 말을 듣고 Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon; | |||
| ☞렘40:8 | 그들, 곧 느다냐의 아들인 이스마엘과, 카레아의 아들들인 요하난과 요나단과, 탄후멧의 아들인 스라야와, 느토바인 에패의 아들들과, 마아카인의 아들 예사냐와, 그들의 부하들이 미스파로 그달랴에게 오니 Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men. | |||
| ☞렘40:9 | 사판의 손자요, 아히캄의 아들인 그달랴가 그들과 그들의 부하들에게 맹세하여 말하기를 "너희는 칼데아인들을 섬기기를 두려워 말고 그 땅에 거하며 바빌론 왕을 섬기라. 그리하면 너희에게 복이 되리라. And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans： dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you. | |||
| ☞렘40:10 | 보라, 나로 말한다면, 나는 미스파에 살면서 우리에게 오는 칼데아인들을 섬기리라. 그러나 너희는 포도주와 여름 과일과 기름을 모아 그릇에 담고 너희가 취한 너희의 성읍들에 거하라." 하더라. As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us： but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken. | |||
| ☞렘40:11 | 모압과, 암몬인들 가운데와, 에돔과, 온 지역에 있는 모든 유대인들도 바빌론 왕이 유다의 잔류자들을 남겨 두었다는 것과 그들을 다스리기 위해 사판의 손자요 아히캄의 아들인 그달랴를 세웠다 함을 듣고 Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan; | |||
| ☞렘40:12 | 그 모든 유대인들이 그들이 쫓겨났던 여러 곳에서 돌아와 유다 땅 미스파로 그달랴에게 와서 포도주와 여름 과일들을 아주 많이 모았더라. Even all the Jews returned out of all places whither they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much. | |||
| ☞렘40:13 | 또 카레아의 아들 요하난과 들에 있는 군대의 모든 대장들이 미스파에 이르러 그달랴에게 와서 Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, | |||
| ☞렘40:14 | 그에게 말하기를 "암몬인들의 왕 바알리스가 너를 죽이려고 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘을 보낸 것을 네가 확실히 아느냐?" 하였으나 아히캄의 아들 그달랴가 그들을 믿지 아니하더라. And said unto him, Dost thou certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay thee? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not. | |||
| ☞렘40:15 | 그러자 카레아의 아들 요하난이 미스파에서 그달랴에게 은밀히 고하여 말하기를 "바라노니, 나로 가서 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘을 죽이게 하라. 그러면 아무도 알지 못하리라. 어찌하여 그가 너를 죽여서 네게 모인 유대인들로 흩어지게 하며 유다에 남은 자들로 망하게 하느냐?" 하여도 Then Johanan the son of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it： wherefore should he slay thee, that all the Jews which are gathered unto thee should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish? | |||
| ☞렘40:16 | 아이캄의 아들 그달랴가 카레아의 아들 요하난에게 말하기를 "너는 이 일을 행하지 말지니, 이는 네가 이스마엘에 관하여 거짓되이 말하였음이라." 하더라. But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing： for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael. | |||
