| ☞사40:1 | 너희는 위로하라. 너희는 내 백성을 위로하라. 너희의 하나님이 말하노라. Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. | |||
| ☞사40:2 | 너희는 예루살렘에서 다정하게 말하며 그녀에게 부르짖으라. 그녀의 싸움이 다 되었고 그녀의 죄악이 용서받았나니, 이는 그녀가 그녀의 모든 죄에 대하여 주의 손에서 배로 받았음이라. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned： for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins. | |||
| ☞사40:3 | 광야에서 외치는 자의 음성이 있어 "너희는 주의 길을 예비하라. 사막에서 우리 하나님의 대로를 곧게 하라. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. | |||
| ☞사40:4 | 모든 골짜기는 솟아오를 것이며 모든 산과 작은 산은 낮아질 것이라. 구부러진 곳이 곧게 되며 울퉁불퉁한 곳들이 평탄케 되리라. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low： and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain： | |||
| ☞사40:5 | 주의 영광이 나타나게 될 것이며 모든 육체가 그것을 함께 보리니, 이는 주의 입이 그것을 말씀하셨음이라." 하는도다. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together： for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. | |||
| ☞사40:6 | 그 음성이 말하기를 "부르짖으라." 하였더니 그가 말하기를 "내가 무엇을 부르짖으리이까?" 하였느니라. 모든 육체는 풀이요, 모든 아름다움은 들의 꽃과 같으니라. The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field： | |||
| ☞사40:7 | 풀은 마르고 꽃은 시드나니 이는 주의 영이 그 위에 불기 때문이라. 그 백성은 정녕 풀이로다. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth： because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it： surely the people is grass. | |||
| ☞사40:8 | 풀은 마르고 꽃은 시드나 우리 하나님의 말씀은 영원히 서리라. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth： but the word of our God shall stand for ever. | |||
| ☞사40:9 | 기쁜 소식을 가져오는, 오 시온아, 너는 높은 산에 오르라. 기쁜 소식을 가져오는, 오 예루살렘아, 힘써 네 음성을 높이라. 두려워 말고 소리를 높여 유다의 성읍들에게 말하기를 "너희 하나님을 보라." 하라. O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! | |||
| ☞사40:10 | 보라, 주 하나님께서 강한 팔로 오시리니 그의 팔로 친히 다스리실 것이며, 보라, 그의 보상이 그와 더불어 있고 그의 역사가 그 앞에 있도다. Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him： behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. | |||
| ☞사40:11 | 그는 목자처럼 그의 양떼를 먹이실 것이요, 자기 팔로 어린 양들을 모아 안으시며 젖먹이와 함께 있는 것들을 유순하게 인도하시리라. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd： he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. | |||
| ☞사40:12 | 누가 손바닥으로 물들을 헤아렸으며 뼘으로 하늘을 재었으며 땅의 티끌을 되에 담아 보았으며 큰 저울로 산들을 달아 보았으며 작은 저울로 작은 산들을 달아 보았겠느냐? Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? | |||
| ☞사40:13 | 누가 주의 영을 재어 보았으며 그의 상담자가 되어 그를 가르쳤겠느냐? Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? | |||
| ☞사40:14 | 그가 누구와 더불어 의논하셨으며, 누가 그를 교육시켰으며 그에게 심판의 길을 가르쳤으며 지식을 가르쳤으며 명철의 길을 그에게 보여 주었겠느냐? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? | |||
| ☞사40:15 | 보라, 민족들은 통 속에 한 방울 물 같고, 또 저울의 작은 티끌같이 여겨지느니라. 보라, 그는 섬들을 아주 작은 것으로 여기는도다. Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance： behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. | |||
| ☞사40:16 | 레바논은 불사르기에도 부족하겠고 그곳의 짐승들은 번제물로도 부족하도다. And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering. | |||
| ☞사40:17 | 그 분 앞에 모든 민족들은 아무것도 아닌 것같고 그 민족들이 그에게는 없는 것보다 못하게 여겨지며 헛것으로 여겨지느니라. All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. | |||
| ☞사40:18 | 그런즉 너희가 하나님을 누구에게 비교할 수 있으며, 또한 어떤 모습을 그 분께 비교하겠느냐? To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? | |||
| ☞사40:19 | 세공장이는 우상을 녹여 만들고, 금 세공장이는 금으로 그 위에 입히고 은 사슬들을 주조하는도다. The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. | |||
| ☞사40:20 | 가난하여 예물이 없는 자는 썩지 않을 나무를 택하여 정교한 세공장이를 찾아서 깎아 만든 형상을 마련하여 움직이지 않게 하느니라. He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved. | |||
| ☞사40:21 | 너희는 알지 못하였느냐? 너희는 듣지 못하였느냐? 태초부터 너희에게 전하지 아니하였느냐? 땅의 기초들이 설 때부터 깨닫지 못하였느냐? Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? | |||
| ☞사40:22 | 원형의 지구 위에 앉으신 이가 그 분이시니 그곳의 거민들이 메뚜기 같으며, 하늘들을 휘장같이 펼치셨으며 그 안에 거할 장막처럼 펴셔서 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in： | |||
| ☞사40:23 | 통치자들을 없애며 땅의 재판관들을 헛되게 하시는도다. That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. | |||
| ☞사40:24 | 정녕, 그들은 심겨지지도 못할 것이요 그들은 뿌려지지도 못할 것이며 그들의 원줄기가 땅에 뿌리를 내리지도 못할 것이니, 주께서 불어 버리시면 그것들은 마르고 회오리바람에 날려가는 그루터기 같을 것이라. Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown： yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth： and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. | |||
| ☞사40:25 | 거룩하신 이가 말하노라. 그런즉 너희가 나를 누구에게 비기며 또한 내가 누구와 동등하게 되겠느냐? To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. | |||
| ☞사40:26 | 너희는 눈을 높이 들어 누가 이것들을 창조하였으며 그들의 군상들을 수효대로 이끌어 내셨는지 보라. 그가 그들의 이름을 그의 막강한 위력으로 모두 부르시나니, 이는 그의 권세가 강하고 하나도 부족함이 없으심이라. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number： he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. | |||
| ☞사40:27 | 오 야곱아, 어찌하여 네가 말하며, 오 이스라엘아, 어찌하여 이르기를 "나의 길이 주로부터 숨겨졌으며 나의 심판은 나의 하나님으로부터 지나갔다." 하느냐? Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? | |||
| ☞사40:28 | 너는 알지 못하였느냐? 영원하신 하나님, 주는 땅 끝들의 창조주시며 피곤치 아니하시며 곤비치 아니하신 분인 것을 너는 듣지 못하였느냐? 그의 명철은 한없이 깊으시도다. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. | |||
| ☞사40:29 | 그는 곤비한 자에게 힘을 주시며 무력한 자에게 힘을 더해 주시나니 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. | |||
| ☞사40:30 | 젊은이들일지라도 곤비하고 피곤하며 청년들이라도 넘어지나 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall： | |||
| ☞사40:31 | 오직 주를 앙망하는 자는 자기의 힘을 새롭게 하리니, 마치 독수리가 날개로 치솟는 것 같을 것이요, 그들이 달려도 피곤치 않으며 걸어도 곤비치 아니하리라. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. | |||
