| ☞욥1:1 | 우스 땅에 한 사람이 있었는데 그의 이름은 욥이더라. 그 사람은 온전하고 정직하며 하나님을 두려워하고 악을 피하는 사람이더라. There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. | |||
| ☞욥1:2 | 그에게 일곱 아들과 세 딸이 태어났으며 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. | |||
| ☞욥1:3 | 그의 재산도 양이 칠천이고, 낙타가 삼천이며, 소가 오백 겨리요, 암나귀가 오백이며, 아주 많은 가족을 두었으니 이 사람은 동방의 모든 사람 가운데서 가장 큰 자더라. His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east. | |||
| ☞욥1:4 | 그의 생일이면 아들들이 각자 가서 자기들의 집에서 잔치를 베풀고 사람을 보내어 그들의 세 누이도 불러서 함께 먹고 마시더라. And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. | |||
| ☞욥1:5 | 그 잔칫날들이 지나면 욥이 사람을 보내서 그들을 성결케 하였는데 아침 일찍 일어나 그들 모두의 수대로 번제를 드렸으니 이는 욥이 말하기를 "혹시 내 아들들이 죄를 짓고 그들의 마음 속에 하나님을 저주하였을까 하노라." 함이더라. 욥은 계속해서 이같이 행하더라. And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all： for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. | |||
| ☞욥1:6 | 하루는 하나님의 아들들이 와서 주 앞에 섰고 사탄도 그들 가운데 왔더라. Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. | |||
| ☞욥1:7 | 주께서 사탄에게 말씀하시기를 "네가 어디서 왔느냐?" 하시니 사탄이 주께 대답하여 말씀드리기를 "땅에서 여기저기, 위아래로 두루 다니다 왔나이다." 하니 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. | |||
| ☞욥1:8 | 주께서 사탄에게 말씀하시기를 "너는 내 종 욥을 유의해 보았느냐? 세상에 그와 같은 사람은 아무도 없나니, 그는 온전하고 정직한 사람으로 하나님을 두려워하고 악을 피하는 자니라." 하시니라. And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? | |||
| ☞욥1:9 | 그때 사탄이 주께 대답하여 말씀드리기를 "욥이 아무런 이유 없이 하나님을 두려워하리이까? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? | |||
| ☞욥1:10 | 주께서 그와 그의 집과 그가 소유한 모든 것에 사면으로 장벽을 두르심이 아니니이까? 주께서는 그가 손으로 하는 일에 복 주셨고 그의 재산이 그 땅에서 늘어나게 하셨나이다. Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. | |||
| ☞욥1:11 | 그러나 이제 주의 손을 내밀어 그가 소유한 모든 것을 쳐 보소서. 그리하시면 그가 주를 정면으로 저주하리이다." 하더라. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. | |||
| ☞욥1:12 | 주께서 사탄에게 말씀하시기를 "보라, 그가 소유한 모든 것이 네 권세에 있으나 다만 그의 몸에는 네 손을 대지 말라." 하시니 사탄이 주의 임재 앞에서 물러가니라. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. | |||
| ☞욥1:13 | 하루는 욥의 아들들과 딸들이 그들의 맏형 집에서 음식을 먹고 포도주를 마시고 있는데 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house： | |||
| ☞욥1:14 | 한 심부름꾼이 욥에게 와서 말하기를 "소들은 밭을 갈고 나귀들은 그 옆에서 풀을 뜯는데 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them： | |||
| ☞욥1:15 | 사베인들이 그것들을 덮쳐서 빼앗아 갔고 칼날로 종들을 죽였으며 나만 홀로 피하여 주인께 고하러 왔나이다." 하더라. And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. | |||
| ☞욥1:16 | 그가 아직 말하고 있는데 또 한 사람이 와서 말하기를 "하나님의 불이 하늘에서 떨어져 양들과 종들을 불살라 진멸하였나이다. 나만 홀로 피하여 주인께 고하러 왔나이다." 하더라. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. | |||
| ☞욥1:17 | 그가 아직 말하고 있는데 또 한 사람이 와서 말하기를 "칼데아인들이 세 무리를 지어 낙타들을 덮쳐 끌고 갔고 칼날로 종들을 죽였으며 나만 홀로 피하여 주인께 고하러 왔나이다." 하더라. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. | |||
| ☞욥1:18 | 그가 아직 말하고 있는데 또 한 사람이 와서 말하기를 "주인님의 아들들과 딸들이 그들의 맏형 집에서 음식을 먹고 포도주를 마시고 있는데 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house： | |||
| ☞욥1:19 | 보소서, 광야로부터 큰 바람이 와서 그 집 네 모퉁이를 치니 그 집이 그 청년들 위에 무너져서 그들이 죽었나이다. 나만 홀로 피하여 주인께 고하러 왔나이다." 하더라. And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. | |||
| ☞욥1:20 | 그 때 욥이 일어나 겉옷을 찢고 머리를 밀고 땅바닥에 엎드려 경배하며 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, | |||
| ☞욥1:21 | 말하기를 "내가 내 어미의 태에서 맨 몸으로 나왔으니 내가 맨 몸으로 그리 돌아가리이다. 주신 분도 주시요 빼앗아 가신 분도 주시니, 주의 이름을 송축하나이다."하더라. And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither： the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. | |||
| ☞욥1:22 | 이 모든 일에도 욥이 죄를 짓지 아니하였고 어리석게 하나님을 탓하지 아니하였더라. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. | |||
