| ☞욥9:1 | 그러자 욥이 대답하여 말하기를 Then Job answered and said, | |||
| ☞욥9:2 | "나는 그 일이 진실로 그러한 줄 알지만 어떻게 사람이 하나님과 더불어 의로우리요? I know it is so of a truth： but how should man be just with God? | |||
| ☞욥9:3 | 만약 사람이 그 분과 논쟁한다면 천 개 가운데 하나도 대답할 수 없으리라. If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. | |||
| ☞욥9:4 | 그는 마음이 현명하시고 힘이 강하시니, 누가 그 분을 대적하여 자신을 완고케 하여 번성하였느냐? He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength： who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered? | |||
| ☞욥9:5 | 산들을 옮기셔도 그것들은 모르며, 그의 진노로 그것들을 무너뜨리시는도다. Which removeth the mountains, and they know not： which overturneth them in his anger. | |||
| ☞욥9:6 | 그가 땅을 그 자리에서 흔드시니 그 기둥들이 흔들거리며 Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble. | |||
| ☞욥9:7 | 그가 해에게 명하시니 해가 떠오르지 아니하고, 별들을 봉하시는도다. Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. | |||
| ☞욥9:8 | 그는 홀로 하늘들을 펴시며 바다의 파도 위를 밟으시는도다. Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. | |||
| ☞욥9:9 | 그는 악투루스와 오리온과 플레아데스 성단과 남쪽의 방들을 만드시며 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. | |||
| ☞욥9:10 | 그는 발견치 못하는 위대한 일들과 셀 수 없이 많은 경이로운 일들을 행하시는도다. Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. | |||
| ☞욥9:11 | 보라, 그 분이 내 곁을 지나가시나 내가 보지 못하며, 그 분이 나아가시나 내가 그 분을 알아차리지 못하는도다. Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not： he passeth on also, but I perceive him not. | |||
| ☞욥9:12 | 보라, 그 분이 취해 가시는데 누가 막을 수 있으랴? 누가 그 분께 '무엇을 하시나이까?'라고 말할 수 있으랴? Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou? | |||
| ☞욥9:13 | 만약 하나님께서 그의 진노를 거두지 아니하시면 교만한 돕는 자들이 그 분 아래 굽히는도다. If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him. | |||
| ☞욥9:14 | 그런데 내가 감히 어찌 그 분께 대답하겠으며 그 분과 따지려고 내 말을 택하랴? How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him? | |||
| ☞욥9:15 | 내가 의롭다 할지라도 그 분께 감히 대답하지 못하고 다만 나의 재판자에게 간구할 뿐이라. Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge. | |||
| ☞욥9:16 | 비록 내가 부르짖어 그 분이 내게 대답하셨을지라도 나는 그 분이 내 음성을 경청하셨다고는 믿지 아니하리라. If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice. | |||
| ☞욥9:17 | 그 분이 폭풍으로 나를 부수시고 까닭없이 내 상처를 많게 하시며 For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause. | |||
| ☞욥9:18 | 그 분이 나로 숨도 쉬지 못하게 하시고 괴로움으로 나를 채우시는도다. He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness. | |||
| ☞욥9:19 | 힘으로 말하면, 보라, 그 분이 강하시고, 심판으로 말하면, 누가 내게 변호할 시간을 정해 주랴? If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong： and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead? | |||
| ☞욥9:20 | 비록 내가 스스로 의롭다 해도 내 입이 나를 정죄할 것이요, 비록 내가 온전하다 말한다 해도 그것 역시 나의 패역함을 증거하리라. If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me： if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. | |||
| ☞욥9:21 | 비록 내가 온전하다 할지라도 내가 나의 혼을 알지 못하리니 내가 내 생명을 멸시하리로다. Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul： I would despise my life. | |||
| ☞욥9:22 | 일이 다 한 가지라, 그러므로 내가 말하노니 '그 분은 온전한 자와 악한 자를 멸망시키신다.' 하였도다. This is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked. | |||
| ☞욥9:23 | 만일 갑작스러운 재앙이 사람을 죽이면 그 분이 무죄한 자의 시련을 비웃으시리라. If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent. | |||
| ☞욥9:24 | 세상이 악인의 손에 주어졌고 그 분은 그 재판관들의 얼굴을 가리셨으니, 그렇지 않다면 그가 어디에 있으며, 누구리요? The earth is given into the hand of the wicked： he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he? | |||
| ☞욥9:25 | 이제 나의 날들이 전령보다도 더 빨라 달아나 버리니 좋은 일을 보지 못하는도다. Now my days are swifter than a post： they flee away, they see no good. | |||
| ☞욥9:26 | 그 날들은 빠른 배들처럼 지나가 버리고 먹이를 향해 달려드는 독수리 같도다. They are passed away as the swift ships： as the eagle that hasteth to the prey. | |||
| ☞욥9:27 | 비록 내가 말하기를 '내 불평을 잊고 내 고통을 떠나 스스로를 위로하자' 한다 해도 If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself： | |||
| ☞욥9:28 | 나는 나의 모든 슬픔을 무서워하나니, 주는 나를 죄 없다 여기지 아니하실 줄 내가 아나이다. I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent. | |||
| ☞욥9:29 | 내가 악할진대 어찌 내가 헛되이 수고하리이까? If I be wicked, why then labour I in vain? | |||
| ☞욥9:30 | 비록 내가 내 몸을 눈 녹은 물로 씻고 내 손을 아무리 깨끗하게 씻는다 해도 If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean; | |||
| ☞욥9:31 | 주는 나를 개천에 빠지게 하시리니, 내 옷마저도 나를 혐오하리이다. Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me. | |||
| ☞욥9:32 | 그는 나처럼 사람이 아니시므로 내가 그 분께 대답할 수도 없고 우리가 함께 재판받으러 갈 수도 없으며 For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. | |||
| ☞욥9:33 | 우리 사이에 중재인도 없으니 우리 둘에 손을 얹을 자도 없도다. Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both. | |||
| ☞욥9:34 | 그의 막대기를 내게서 가져가시고 그의 두려움으로 나를 무섭게 하지 않으시기를 원하노라. Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me： | |||
| ☞욥9:35 | 그리하면 내가 말하고 그 분을 두려워하지 아니하리라. 그러나 나는 지금 그런 처지에 있지 않노라. Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me. | |||
