☞욥5:1 네게 응답해 줄 자가 있으면 지금 불러 보라. 네가 성도들 가운데 누구에게로 돌이키겠느냐?
Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?
☞욥5:2 분노가 미련한 자를 죽이고 시기가 어리석은 자를 죽이느니라.
For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.
☞욥5:3 나는 미련한 자가 뿌리박는 것을 보고 그의 거처를 즉시 저주하였느니라.
I have seen the foolish taking root： but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
☞욥5:4 그의 자녀들은 안전함에서 멀리 있어 그들이 문에서 짓눌려 있어도 아무도 그들을 구해 주는 자가 없도다.
His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.
☞욥5:5 그들의 수확은 주린 자가 먹되 가시나무에서조차 가져가고, 도둑이 그들의 재산을 삼키는도다.
Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.
☞욥5:6 역경은 티끌에서 오는 것이 아니요 고생도 땅에서 생겨난 것이 아니지만
Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;
☞욥5:7 불티가 위로 날아가는 것과 같이 사람은 고생하려고 태어나느니라.
Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
☞욥5:8 나는 하나님께 구하고 나의 일을 하나님께 맡기리라.
I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause：
☞욥5:9 그 분은 크고 헤아릴 수 없는 일들을 행하시며 셀 수 없는 놀라운 일들을 행하시나니
Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number：
☞욥5:10 그 분은 비를 땅에 내리시고 물을 들에 보내시며
Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields：
☞욥5:11 낮은 자들을 높은 곳에 세우시며 슬퍼하는 자들을 높이사 안전한 곳에 있게 하시는도다.
To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
☞욥5:12 그는 교활한 자의 계략을 좌절시키어 그들의 손으로 그들의 사업을 실행할 수 없게 하시는도다.
He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
☞욥5:13 그는 현명한 자들로 그들의 간계에 빠지게 하시며 심술궂은 자의 계획이 거꾸로 수행되게 하시는도다.
He taketh the wise in their own craftiness： and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
☞욥5:14 그들은 낮에도 어두움과 만나고 대낮에도 밤에서처럼 더듬느니라.
They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night.
☞욥5:15 그러나 그는 가난한 자를 칼과, 그들의 입과, 또 강한 자의 손에서 구해 주시는도다.
But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
☞욥5:16 그러므로 가난한 자가 소망을 지니고, 죄악이 입을 닫느니라.
So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
☞욥5:17 보라, 하나님께서 바로잡으시는 사람은 복이 있도다. 그러므로 너는 전능하신 분의 징계를 멸시하지 말라.
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth： therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty：
☞욥5:18 그는 아프게 하시다가 싸매시며, 그는 상처를 내시다가 그의 손으로 온전하게 하시느니라.
For he maketh sore, and bindeth up： he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
☞욥5:19 그는 여섯 고난에서 너를 구해 주시고 일곱 고난에서는 어떤 악도 너를 손대지 못하게 하시리라.
He shall deliver thee in six troubles： yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
☞욥5:20 기근 중에 그는 너를 죽음에서 구속하실 것이며, 전쟁에서 칼의 권세로부터 구속하시리라.
In famine he shall redeem thee from death： and in war from the power of the sword.
☞욥5:21 네가 혀의 채찍을 피하여 숨게 될 것이며, 멸망이 닥칠 때에도 그것을 무서워하지 아니하리라.
Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue： neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
☞욥5:22 네가 멸망과 기근을 비웃을 것이며, 땅의 짐승들을 무서워하지 아니하리라.
At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh： neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
☞욥5:23 이는 네가 들의 돌들과 제휴하게 될 것이며 들의 짐승들이 너와 화목하게 될 것임이라.
For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field： and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
☞욥5:24 그러면 너는 네 장막이 화평하게 되는 것을 알게 될 것이요 네 거처를 찾아갈 것이며 죄를 짓지 아니하리라.
And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.
☞욥5:25 네 씨가 많아지며 네 후손이 땅의 풀같이 될 것도 네가 알게 되리라.
Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
☞욥5:26 연수가 다 찬 후 네가 네 무덤에 가리니, 마치 곡식단이 제때에 들어옴 같으리라.
Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
☞욥5:27 이것을 보라, 우리가 애써 그것을 살폈으니 바로 그렇도다. 너의 유익을 위해 그것을 알지니라." 하더라.
Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
