☞욥33:1 그러므로 욥이여, 내가 당신께 원하노니 내 말을 듣고 내 모든 말에 경청하라.
Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.
☞욥33:2 보라, 이제 내가 내 입을 열었고 내 혀가 내 입에서 말하였도다.
Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.
☞욥33:3 내 말은 내 마음의 정직함이 될 것이며 내 입술이 지식을 분명히 발설하리라.
My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart： and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
☞욥33:4 하나님의 영이 나를 지으셨고 전능하신 분의 호흡이 내게 생명을 주셨도다.
The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
☞욥33:5 만일 당신이 내게 대답할 수 있거든 일어서서 내 앞에서 당신의 말을 정연하게 시작하라.
If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.
☞욥33:6 보라, 하나님의 입장에서는 내가 당신의 말과 같도다. 나도 진흙으로 지음을 받았도다.
Behold, I am according to thy wish in God's stead： I also am formed out of the clay.
☞욥33:7 보라, 나의 공포가 당신을 무섭게 하지 아니하고 나의 손도 당신에게 무겁지 아니하리라.
Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.
☞욥33:8 당신은 분명히 내가 들을 때 말하였고 내가 당신의 말 소리를 들었나니, 말하기를
Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,
☞욥33:9 '나는 허물없이 깨끗하고 나는 무죄하며 내 안에는 죄악이 없도다.
I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.
☞욥33:10 보라, 그 분이 나를 반대할 기회를 찾으시고 나를 그의 원수로 간주하시는도다.
Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,
☞욥33:11 그 분은 나의 발을 차꼬에 채우시고 나의 모든 길을 살피시는도다.' 하였도다.
He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.
☞욥33:12 보라, 이 점에 있어서는 당신이 의롭지 못하니 내가 당신에게 대답하리라. 이는 하나님이 사람보다 더 크심이라.
Behold, in this thou art not just： I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
☞욥33:13 어찌하여 당신은 그 분을 거역하여 다투느뇨? 이는 그 분이 그의 일 중 어떤 것도 설명하지 않으심이라.
Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.
☞욥33:14 하나님께서 한 번 말씀하시고 두 번 말씀하셔도 사람은 그것을 알아차리지 못하는도다.
For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
☞욥33:15 사람이 깊은 잠이 들어 침상에서 곤히 잘 때 꿈이나 밤의 환상 가운데
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
☞욥33:16 그 분께서 사람의 귀를 여시고 그들의 교훈을 인치듯 확정하시니
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
☞욥33:17 이는 그가 사람을 자신의 목적에서 물러나게 하시고 사람에게서 교만을 숨기려 하심이라.
That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
☞욥33:18 그 분은 사람의 혼을 구렁에 빠지지 않도록 붙드시며 그의 생명이 칼에 멸망하지 않도록 붙드시는도다.
He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
☞욥33:19 사람이 자기 침상에서 아픔으로도 징계를 받으며 강한 통증으로 많은 뼈가 징계를 받으므로
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain：
☞욥33:20 그의 생명이 빵을 싫어하고 그의 혼이 맛 좋은 음식을 싫어하는도다.
So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.
☞욥33:21 그의 살은 쇠잔해져서 보이지 않고, 보이지 않던 뼈들이 튀어나오는도다.
His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.
☞욥33:22 이제 그의 혼이 음부에 다가가고 그의 생명이 멸망자들에게 다가가는도다.
Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.
☞욥33:23 만일 한 전달자가 그와 함께 있다면, 즉 사람에게 그의 정직함을 보여 줄 천 명 가운데 한 명의 해석자가 있다면
If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness：
☞욥33:24 그때는 그 분께서 그 사람에게 은혜로우셔서 말씀하시기를 '구렁에 내려가는 그를 구해 주라. 내가 몸값을 얻었다' 하시리라.
Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit： I have found a ransom.
☞욥33:25 그러면 그의 살이 어린 아이의 살보다 더 신선해지리니, 그가 자기 젊은 시절로 돌아가리라.
His flesh shall be fresher than a child's： he shall return to the days of his youth：
☞욥33:26 그가 하나님께 기도하면 그 분은 그에게 호의를 베푸실 것이요 그가 기쁨으로 그 분의 얼굴을 보리니, 이는 그 분이 사람에게 그의 의를 주시기 때문이라.
He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him： and he shall see his face with joy： for he will render unto man his righteousness.
☞욥33:27 그 분은 사람들을 바라보시는데 어떤 사람이 말하기를 '내가 죄를 지었고 옳았던 것을 변개하였으나 그것이 내게 이롭지 않았도다.' 라고 한다면
He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
☞욥33:28 그 분은 구렁에 내려가는 그 사람의 혼을 구해 주실 것이며 그의 생명은 빛을 보리라.
He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
☞욥33:29 보라, 하나님께서 종종 사람과 더불어 이런 모든 일을 행하심은
Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
☞욥33:30 구렁에서 그의 혼을 데려오시고 산 자들의 빛으로 비추려 하심이라.
To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.
☞욥33:31 오 욥이여, 주의하고 내게 경청하라. 잠잠하라. 내가 말하리라.
Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me： hold thy peace, and I will speak.
☞욥33:32 당신이 말할 것이 있으면 내게 대답하라. 말하라. 이는 내가 당신을 의롭게 하고자 함이라.
If thou hast anything to say, answer me： speak, for I desire to justify thee.
☞욥33:33 할 말이 없으면 내게 경청하라. 잠잠하라. 내가 당신에게 지혜를 가르치리라." 하니라.
If not, hearken unto me： hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
