Therefore hearken unto me ye men of understanding： far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

☞욥34:11

그 분은 사람의 행위대로 그에게 갚으시고 각자 자기의 행위에 따라 얻게 하시는도다.

For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

☞욥34:12

정녕, 진실로 하나님께서는 악을 행치 아니하시며 전능하신 분은 심판을 왜곡하지 아니하시리라.

Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

☞욥34:13

누가 그에게 땅을 다스리도록 맡겼느냐? 또한 누가 온 세상을 배치해 놓았느냐?

Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?

☞욥34:14

만약 그 분이 그의 마음을 인간에게 두신다면, 만약 그 분이 그의 영과 호흡을 자신에게로 모으신다면

If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

☞욥34:15

모든 육체는 함께 멸망하고 인간은 다시 흙으로 돌아갈 것이라.

All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

☞욥34:16

만일 너희에게 지금 명철이 있다면 이것을 듣고 내 말 소리에 경청하라.

If now thou hast understanding, hear this： hearken to the voice of my words.

☞욥34:17

의를 미워하시는 분이 통치하시겠느냐? 네가 지극히 의로우신 분을 정죄하겠느냐?

Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?

☞욥34:18

왕에게 '왕은 악하니이다.' 하며 통치자들에게 '당신들은 경건하지 않나이다' 라고 말하는 것이 적합한 일이냐?

Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

☞욥34:19

하물며 통치자들을 외모로 받아들이시지 않고 부자를 가난한 사람보다 낫게 여기시지 않는 그 분께랴? 이는 그들 모두가 그 분의 손으로 지은 것들임이라.

How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

☞욥34:20

순식간에 그들은 죽나니, 사람들은 밤중에 괴로워하다가 사라지며 힘있는 자도 손을 대지 않고 제거되리라.

In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away： and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

☞욥34:21

그 분의 눈이 사람의 길 위에 있나니 그 분은 사람의 모든 행위를 보시는도다.

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

☞욥34:22

죄악의 일꾼들에게는 자신들을 숨길 수 있는 암흑도 없고 죽음의 그림자도 없도다.

There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

☞욥34:23

그 분은 옳은 것 외에는 사람에게 지우지 아니하시나니 사람이 하나님과 함께 심판에 들어가야 하리라.

For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

☞욥34:24

그 분은 힘센 자들을 헤아림 없이 산산조각내시며 그들을 대신하여 다른 사람들을 세우시는도다.

He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

☞욥34:25

그러므로 그 분은 그들의 행위를 아시고 밤중에 그들을 뒤엎으시니 그들이 망하는도다.

Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

☞욥34:26

그 분은 그들을 악인들처럼 다른 사람들이 보는 데서 치시니

He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

☞욥34:27

이는 그들이 그 분께로부터 돌이켜 그의 길들을 전혀 고려하지 않음이라.

Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways：

☞욥34:28

이렇듯 그들은 가난한 자의 부르짖음이 그 분께 이르게 하니 그가 고난받는 자의 부르짖음을 들으시는도다.

So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

☞욥34:29

그 분이 평정을 주시는데 누가 감히 분란을 일으키겠느냐? 그 분이 자기 얼굴을 감추시는데, 민족에게 그리하셨든지, 사람에게만 하셨든지 감히 누가 그 분을 뵈올 수 있겠느냐?

When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only：

☞욥34:30

이는 위선자로 다스리지 못하게 하여 백성들로 함정에 빠지지 않게 하려 하심이라.

That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

☞욥34:31

하나님께 '내가 징계를 받았사오니 다시는 범죄하지 아니하겠나이다.

Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more：

☞욥34:32

내가 보지 못하는 것을 주께서는 내게 가르쳐 주소서. 내가 죄악을 행하였다면 다시는 행하지 아니하겠나이다.'라고 말씀드림이 마땅하니라.

That which I see not teach thou me： if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

☞욥34:33

그것이 당신의 생각대로 되어야 하겠느뇨? 당신이 거부하든지 택하든지, 내가 아니라 그 분이 갚으시리라. 그러므로 당신이 아는 것을 말하라.

Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I： therefore speak what thou knowest.
