| ☞욥41:1 | 네가 갈고리로 리비야단을 끌어낼 수 있겠느냐? 또한 끈으로 그의 혀를 맬 수 있겠느냐? Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? | |||
| ☞욥41:2 | 네가 갈고리를 그의 코에다 넣을 수 있겠느냐? 가시로 그의 턱을 꿸 수 있겠느냐? Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn? | |||
| ☞욥41:3 | 그가 네게 여러 가지 간구들을 하겠느냐? 그가 네게 부드러운 말들을 하겠느냐? Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee? | |||
| ☞욥41:4 | 그가 너와 언약을 맺겠느냐? 네가 그를 영원히 종으로 삼겠느냐? Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever? | |||
| ☞욥41:5 | 네가 새와 더불어 노는 것처럼 그와 더불어 놀겠느냐? 네 소녀들을 위하여 그를 매어 두겠느냐? Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens? | |||
| ☞욥41:6 | 동료끼리 그를 가지고 잔치를 벌이겠느냐? 그들이 상인들 가운데서 그를 나누겠느냐? Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants? | |||
| ☞욥41:7 | 너는 가시 돋힌 철창으로 그의 가죽을 뚫어 메우겠느냐? 작살로 그의 머리를 찌르겠느냐? Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears? | |||
| ☞욥41:8 | 그에게 네 손을 대어 보라. 싸움을 상상해 보고 다시는 하지 말지니라. Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more. | |||
| ☞욥41:9 | 보라, 그에 대한 소망이 헛되니 사람이 그를 보기만 하여도 기가 질리지 아니하겠느냐? Behold, the hope of him is in vain： shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? | |||
| ☞욥41:10 | 아무리 사나와도 감히 그를 격동시킬 자가 없으니, 누가 내 앞에 설 수 있겠느냐? None is so fierce that dare stir him up： who then is able to stand before me? | |||
| ☞욥41:11 | 누가 내게 앞섰다고 내가 그에게 갚겠느냐? 온 하늘 아래 있는 것은 무엇이든지 내 것이니라. Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine. | |||
| ☞욥41:12 | 나는 그의 지체들이나 그의 힘이나 그의 잘생긴 부분에 대하여 숨기지 아니하리라. I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion. | |||
| ☞욥41:13 | 누가 그의 외피의 생김새를 찾아내겠느냐? 누가 두 겹 재갈을 가지고 그에게 다가갈 수 있겠느냐? Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle? | |||
| ☞욥41:14 | 누가 그의 얼굴의 문들을 열 수 있겠느냐? 그의 이빨은 무섭게 둘려 있도다. Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about. | |||
| ☞욥41:15 | 그의 비늘은 그의 교만이라. 봉한 것처럼 서로 닫혀 있도다. His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. | |||
| ☞욥41:16 | 비늘과 비늘 사이가 너무 가까워서 그 사이로 바람도 들어 갈 수 없도다. One is so near to another, that no air can come between them. | |||
| ☞욥41:17 | 그들은 서로 연결되어 있고 물려 있어 나눌 수 없도다. They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered. | |||
| ☞욥41:18 | 그의 재채기로 인하여 빛이 비치며 그의 눈은 아침의 눈꺼풀 같고 By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. | |||
| ☞욥41:19 | 그의 입에서는 타는 등불들이 나오며 불똥이 튀는도다. Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. | |||
| ☞욥41:20 | 그의 콧구멍에서는 연기가 나오니, 마치 끓는 솥이나 가마솥에서 나는 것 같도다. Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron. | |||
| ☞욥41:21 | 그의 숨결로 숯불을 피우며 화염이 그의 입에서 나오는도다. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. | |||
| ☞욥41:22 | 그의 목에는 힘이 몰려 있고 그 앞에서는 슬픔이 기쁨으로 변하는도다. In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him. | |||
| ☞욥41:23 | 그의 살에서 늘어진 부분들은 서로 연결되어 있고, 단단해서 움직여지지도 않는도다. The flakes of his flesh are joined together： they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved. | |||
| ☞욥41:24 | 그의 심장은 돌처럼 단단하며 맷돌의 아랫짝같이 딱딱하도다. His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone. | |||
| ☞욥41:25 | 그가 일어서면 용사들도 무서워하니 그들은 부숨으로써 스스로를 정결케 하는도다. When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid： by reason of breakings they purify themselves. | |||
| ☞욥41:26 | 칼로 그에게 대어도 소용이 없고 창이나 창살이나 갑옷도 소용이 없도다. The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold： the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon. | |||
| ☞욥41:27 | 그는 철을 지푸라기같이, 놋을 썩은 나무같이 여기는도다. He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood. | |||
| ☞욥41:28 | 화살도 그를 도망치게 할 수 없으며 던진 돌들도 그에게는 그루터기 같도다. The arrow cannot make him flee： slingstones are turned with him into stubble. | |||
| ☞욥41:29 | 창살들도 그루터기처럼 여겨지니 그가 투창의 흔들림을 비웃는도다. Darts are counted as stubble： he laugheth at the shaking of a spear. | |||
| ☞욥41:30 | 그의 밑에는 뾰쪽한 돌들이 있으니 그가 진흙 위에 뾰쪽한 것으로 자국을 내는도다. Sharp stones are under him： he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire. | |||
| ☞욥41:31 | 그는 깊음을 솥같이 끓이며, 그는 바다를 향기름 솥같이 만드는도다. He maketh the deep to boil like a pot： he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment. | |||
| ☞욥41:32 | 그는 자기 뒤에 빛을 내는 길을 만드나니, 보는 사람이 깊음을 회백색이라고 생각하는도다. He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary. | |||
| ☞욥41:33 | 땅 위에는 그같이 생긴 것이 없나니, 그는 두려움 없이 지음을 받았도다. Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. | |||
| ☞욥41:34 | 그가 모든 높은 것들을 바라보니, 그는 모든 교만의 자식들을 다스리는 왕이니라." 하시니라. He beholdeth all high things： he is a king over all the children of pride. | |||
