| ☞잠9:1 | 지혜가 그녀의 집을 짓고 그녀의 일곱 기둥들을 다듬으며 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars： | |||
| ☞잠9:2 | 그녀의 짐승들을 잡고 포도주를 섞어 상을 차려 놓고 She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table. | |||
| ☞잠9:3 | 그녀의 여종을 보내어 그 성읍의 가장 높은 곳에서 부르짖기를 She hath sent forth her maidens： she crieth upon the highest places of the city, | |||
| ☞잠9:4 | "우매한 자는 누구나 이리로 돌이킬지니라." 하며, 명철을 원하는 자에게는 말하기를 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither： as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, | |||
| ☞잠9:5 | "와서 내 빵을 먹고 내가 섞은 포도주를 마시라. Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. | |||
| ☞잠9:6 | 어리석음을 내어버리고 살라. 그리고 명철의 길을 가라. Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. | |||
| ☞잠9:7 | 교만한 자를 책망하는 자는 오히려 수치를 당하며, 악인을 꾸짖는 자는 오히려 오명을 입느니라. He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame： and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. | |||
| ☞잠9:8 | 교만한 자를 책망하지 말라. 혹 그가 너를 미워할까 함이요, 현명한 자를 꾸짖으라. 그리하면 그가 너를 사랑하리라. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee： rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. | |||
| ☞잠9:9 | 현명한 자를 훈계하라. 그리하면 그가 더욱 현명해질 것이요, 의로운 사람을 가르치라. 그리하면 그의 학식이 더 늘어나리라. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser： teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. | |||
| ☞잠9:10 | 주를 두려워하는 것이 지혜의 시작이요, 거룩한 이에 대한 지식은 명철이니라. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom： and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. | |||
| ☞잠9:11 | 나로 인하여 네 날들이 많아질 것이며 네 생명의 연수가 늘어나리라. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. | |||
| ☞잠9:12 | 네가 현명할지라도 네 자신을 위하여 현명하게 될 것이요, 네가 비웃을지라도 네가 홀로 그것을 감당하게 되리라." 하느니라. If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself： but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it. | |||
| ☞잠9:13 | 어리석은 여자는 수다스럽고 우매하여 아무것도 알지 못하고 A foolish woman is clamorous： she is simple, and knoweth nothing. | |||
| ☞잠9:14 | 자기 집 문에 앉으며 성읍의 제일 높은 곳에 자리잡고 앉아서 For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city, | |||
| ☞잠9:15 | 길을 곧장 가는 행인들을 불러 To call passengers who go right on their ways： | |||
| ☞잠9:16 | "우매한 자는 누구나 이리로 돌이킬지니라." 하며, 또 명철을 원하는 자에게 말하기를 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither： and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, | |||
| ☞잠9:17 | "도둑질한 물이 달고 몰래 먹는 빵이 맛있다." 하느니라. Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. | |||
| ☞잠9:18 | 그러나 그는 죽은 자가 거기 있고, 그녀의 객들이 지옥의 깊은 곳들에 있는 것을 알지 못하느니라. But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell. | |||
