| ☞잠15:1 | 유순한 대답은 진노를 삭이나, 과격한 말은 화를 일으키느니라. A soft answer turneth away wrath： but grievous words stir up anger. | |||
| ☞잠15:2 | 현명한 자의 혀는 지식을 올바로 사용하나, 어리석은 자들의 입은 어리석음을 쏟아 내느니라. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright： but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. | |||
| ☞잠15:3 | 주의 눈은 어느 곳에서나 악한 자와 선한 자를 살피시느니라. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. | |||
| ☞잠15:4 | 건전한 혀는 생명의 나무이나, 그 안에 있는 패역함은 영 안의 틈이니라. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life： but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. | |||
| ☞잠15:5 | 어리석은 자는 자기 아버지의 훈계를 멸시하나, 총명한 자는 책망을 존중하느니라. A fool despiseth his father's instruction： but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. | |||
| ☞잠15:6 | 의로운 자의 집에는 많은 보물이 있으나, 악인의 소득에는 고통이 있느니라. In the house of the righteous is much treasure： but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble. | |||
| ☞잠15:7 | 현명한 자의 입술은 지식을 전파하나, 어리석은 자의 마음은 그렇지 아니하느니라. The lips of the wise disperse knowledge： but the heart of the foolish doeth not so. | |||
| ☞잠15:8 | 악인의 희생제는 주께 가증한 것이나, 정직한 자의 기도는 그의 기쁨이니라. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD： but the prayer of the upright is his delight. | |||
| ☞잠15:9 | 악인의 길은 주께 가증한 것이나, 의를 따라가는 자는 그가 사랑하시느니라. The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD： but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness. | |||
| ☞잠15:10 | 길을 저버린 자에게는 징계가 슬픔이고, 책망을 싫어하는 자는 죽으리라. Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way： and he that hateth reproof shall die. | |||
| ☞잠15:11 | 지옥과 멸망이 주 앞에 있거늘, 하물며 사람의 자손들의 마음들이야 더욱 그렇지 않겠느냐? Hell and destruction are before the LORD： how much more then the hearts of the children of men? | |||
| ☞잠15:12 | 거만한 자는 자기를 책망하는 자를 사랑하지 아니하며 현명한 자에게는 가지도 아니할 것이니라. A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him： neither will he go unto the wise. | |||
| ☞잠15:13 | 즐거운 마음은 얼굴을 밝게 하지만, 마음의 슬픔은 영을 상하게 하느니라. A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance： but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. | |||
| ☞잠15:14 | 명철을 가진 자의 마음은 지식을 찾으나, 어리석은 자들의 입은 어리석음을 기르느니라. The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge： but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness. | |||
| ☞잠15:15 | 고통받는 자들의 모든 날은 악하나, 즐거운 마음을 가진 자는 계속 잔치하느니라. All the days of the afflicted are evil： but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast. | |||
| ☞잠15:16 | 소유가 적어도 주를 두려워하는 것이 큰 재물로 인하여 고뇌하는 것보다 나으니라. Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith. | |||
| ☞잠15:17 | 나물로 준비된 저녁에 사랑이 있는 것이 살진 수소가 있으나 미워하는 것보다 나으니라. Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. | |||
| ☞잠15:18 | 분을 잘 내는 사람은 다툼을 일으키나, 화를 더디 내는 사람은 다툼을 그치게 하느니라. A wrathful man stirreth up strife： but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife. | |||
| ☞잠15:19 | 게으른 자의 길은 가시 울타리 같으나, 의로운 사람의 길은 평탄하니라. The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns： but the way of the righteous is made plain. | |||
| ☞잠15:20 | 현명한 아들은 아버지를 기쁘게 하나, 어리석은 자는 자기 어머니를 멸시하느니라. A wise son maketh a glad father： but a foolish man despiseth his mother. | |||
| ☞잠15:21 | 지혜를 멸시하는 자는 미련함을 기뻐하나, 명철한 사람은 정직하게 행하느니라. Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom： but a man of understanding walketh uprightly. | |||
| ☞잠15:22 | 의논이 없는 계획은 실망을 가져오나, 의논자가 많으면 계획이 이루어지느니라. Without counsel purposes are disappointed： but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. | |||
| ☞잠15:23 | 사람은 자기 입의 대답으로 기쁨을 누리나니 때에 맞는 말은 얼마나 유익한가! A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth： and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! | |||
| ☞잠15:24 | 생명의 길은 현명한 자 위에 있으니, 그는 아래 있는 지옥으로부터 벗어나리라. The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. | |||
| ☞잠15:25 | 주께서는 교만한 자의 집을 헐어 버리실 것이나, 과부의 경계는 세우시리라. The LORD will destroy the house of the proud： but he will establish the border of the widow. | |||
| ☞잠15:26 | 악인의 생각들은 주께 가증한 것이나, 순수한 말은 기쁨의 말이니라. The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD： but the words of the pure are pleasant words. | |||
| ☞잠15:27 | 이익에 욕심을 부리는 자는 자기 집을 해치나, 뇌물을 싫어하는 자는 살리라. He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live. | |||
| ☞잠15:28 | 의인의 마음은 대답할 말을 깊이 생각하지만, 악인의 입은 나쁜 것을 쏟아내느니라. The heart of the righteous studieth to answer： but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things. | |||
| ☞잠15:29 | 주께서 악인들로부터는 멀리 계시나 의인의 기도는 들으시느니라. The LORD is far from the wicked： but he heareth the prayer of the righteous. | |||
| ☞잠15:30 | 눈의 빛은 마음을 즐겁게 하고, 좋은 소식은 뼈를 살찌게 하느니라. The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart： and a good report maketh the bones fat. | |||
| ☞잠15:31 | 생명의 책망을 듣는 귀는 현명한 자들 가운데 거하느니라. The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. | |||
| ☞잠15:32 | 훈계를 거부하는 자는 자신의 혼을 멸시하는 것이나, 책망을 듣는 자는 명철을 얻느니라. He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul： but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. | |||
| ☞잠15:33 | 주를 두려워하는 것은 지혜의 훈계라, 존귀에 앞서 겸손이 있느니라. The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. | |||
