| ☞잠28:1 | 악인들은 쫓는 자가 없어도 도망치나, 의로운 자들은 사자처럼 담대하니라. The wicked flee when no man pursueth： but the righteous are bold as a lion. | |||
| ☞잠28:2 | 땅의 죄과로 인해 통치자들이 많아져도, 그 나라는 명철과 지식이 있는 한 사람으로 인하여 오래 가리라. For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof： but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged. | |||
| ☞잠28:3 | 가난한 자를 억압하는 가난한 자는 곡식을 남기지 않고 휩쓸어 버리는 비 같으니라. A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food. | |||
| ☞잠28:4 | 율법을 버린 자들은 악인을 칭찬하나, 율법을 지키는 자들은 그들을 대적하여 싸우느니라. They that forsake the law praise the wicked： but such as keep the law contend with them. | |||
| ☞잠28:5 | 악한 사람들은 심판을 깨닫지 못하나, 주를 찾는 자들은 모든 것을 깨닫느니라. Evil men understand not judgment： but they that seek the LORD understand all things. | |||
| ☞잠28:6 | 정직하게 행하는 가난한 자가 사악하게 행하는 부자보다 나으니라. Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. | |||
| ☞잠28:7 | 율법을 지키는 자는 누구나 현명한 아들이나, 방탕한 사람들과 사귀는 자는 그의 아비를 부끄럽게 하느니라. Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son： but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father. | |||
| ☞잠28:8 | 높은 이자와 불의한 수익으로 자기 재산을 증식하는 자는 가난한 자를 불쌍히 여길 자를 위하여 그것을 모으리라. He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor. | |||
| ☞잠28:9 | 율법을 듣는 데서 귀를 돌이키는 자는 그의 기도마저도 가증한 것이 되리라. He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. | |||
| ☞잠28:10 | 의인을 악한 길로 그릇가게 한 자는 누구나 스스로 자기 함정에 빠질 것이나 정직한 자는 좋은 소유물을 얻으리라. Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit： but the upright shall have good things in possession. | |||
| ☞잠28:11 | 부자는 자신을 현명하다고 생각하나, 명철을 지닌 가난한 자는 자기를 살펴 아느니라. The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out. | |||
| ☞잠28:12 | 의로운 사람들이 기뻐하면 큰 영화가 있으나, 악인이 일어나면 사람이 숨느니라. When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory： but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden. | |||
| ☞잠28:13 | 자기 죄들을 숨기는 자는 번성하지 못할 것이나, 죄를 자백하고 버리는 자는 누구나 자비를 얻으리라. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper： but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. | |||
| ☞잠28:14 | 항상 두려워하는 자는 행복하나, 마음을 완악하게 하는 자는 재앙에 빠지리라. Happy is the man that feareth alway： but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief. | |||
| ☞잠28:15 | 악한 치리자가 가난한 백성들을 지배하는 것은 마치 포효하는 사자와 달려드는 곰 같으니라. As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people. | |||
| ☞잠28:16 | 명철이 부족한 통치자는 지독한 압제자이나, 탐욕을 싫어하는 자는 장수하리라. The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor： but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days. | |||
| ☞잠28:17 | 폭력을 행사하여 사람의 피를 흘리는 사람은 함정으로 도망하리니, 아무도 그를 막지 말지니라. A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him. | |||
| ☞잠28:18 | 정직하게 행하는 자마다 구원을 받으려니와 사악하게 행하는 자는 즉시 넘어지리라. Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved： but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once. | |||
| ☞잠28:19 | 자기 땅을 경작하는 자는 충분한 양식을 얻으려니와 허황된 자를 따르는 자는 심히 빈곤하리라. He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread： but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. | |||
| ☞잠28:20 | 신실한 사람은 복을 많이 받을 것이나, 급히 부자가 되려는 자는 죄를 면치 못하리라. A faithful man shall abound with blessings： but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. | |||
| ☞잠28:21 | 사람의 외모를 존중하는 것은 좋지 않으니, 이는 한 조각 빵을 위해서도 그 사람은 범죄하기 때문이라. To have respect of persons is not good： for for a piece of bread that man will transgress. | |||
| ☞잠28:22 | 급히 부자가 되려는 자는 악한 눈을 가졌으며 빈궁이 자기에게 임할 것을 생각지 아니하느니라. He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. | |||
| ☞잠28:23 | 사람을 꾸짖는 자는 혀로 아첨하는 자보다 후에 더욱 은총을 받으리라. He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue. | |||
| ☞잠28:24 | 자기 아버지와 자기 어머니의 것을 훔치고 말하기를 "이것은 죄과가 아니라." 하는 자는 파괴자와 한패니라. Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer. | |||
| ☞잠28:25 | 교만한 마음을 지닌 자는 다툼을 일으키나, 주를 신뢰하는 자는 풍족하게 되리라. He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife： but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat. | |||
| ☞잠28:26 | 자신의 마음을 신뢰하는 자는 어리석은 자이나, 현명하게 행하는 자는 구원을 받으리라. He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool： but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. | |||
| ☞잠28:27 | 가난한 자에게 주는 자는 궁핍하지 않으려니와, 자기 눈을 속이는 자는 많은 저주를 받으리라. He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack： but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. | |||
| ☞잠28:28 | 악인들이 일어나면 사람들이 숨으나, 그들이 멸망하면 의로운 자들이 늘어나느니라. When the wicked rise, men hide themselves： but when they perish, the righteous increase. | |||
