| ☞잠5:1 | 내 아들아, 내 지혜를 경청하며 내 명철에 네 귀를 기울이라. My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding： | |||
| ☞잠5:2 | 이는 너로 분별력을 갖고, 네 입술로 지식을 간직하게 하기 위함이라. That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge. | |||
| ☞잠5:3 | 타국 여인의 입술은 벌집처럼 꿀을 떨어뜨리고, 그녀의 입은 기름보다도 미끄러우나 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil： | |||
| ☞잠5:4 | 그녀의 마지막은 쑥같이 쓰고 양날 가진 칼처럼 날카로우니라. But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. | |||
| ☞잠5:5 | 그녀의 발은 죽음으로 내려가고, 그녀의 걸음은 지옥으로 접어드는도다. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. | |||
| ☞잠5:6 | 그녀의 길들은 네가 생명의 길을 깊이 생각하지 못하도록 유동적이니, 이는 너로 그것들을 알지 못하게 하려 함이라. Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them. | |||
| ☞잠5:7 | 그러므로, 오 너희 자녀들아, 이제 나를 듣고 내 입의 말에서 떠나지 말라. Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. | |||
| ☞잠5:8 | 그녀로부터 네 길을 멀리하고, 그녀의 집 문에도 가까이 가지 말라. Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house： | |||
| ☞잠5:9 | 이는 네가 네 명예를 다른 사람들에게, 네 수한을 잔인한 자들에게 줄까 함이며 Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel： | |||
| ☞잠5:10 | 타국인들이 네 재물로 충족하고 네 수고가 타국인들의 집에 있게 될까 함이요, Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger; | |||
| ☞잠5:11 | 결국에는 네 육신과 네 몸이 쇠퇴하여, 네가 한탄하며 And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, | |||
| ☞잠5:12 | 말하기를 "어찌하여 내가 훈계를 싫어하고 내 마음이 책망을 무시하였으며, And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; | |||
| ☞잠5:13 | 내 선생들의 음성에 복종하지 아니하고 나를 훈계하던 이들에게 귀를 기울이지 아니하였던가! And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me! | |||
| ☞잠5:14 | 내가 회중과 집회 가운데 있는 모든 악에 거의 빠지게 되었었노라." 할까 함이라. I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly. | |||
| ☞잠5:15 | 네 물통의 물들과 네 우물에서 솟아나오는 물들을 마시라. Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. | |||
| ☞잠5:16 | 네 샘들은 밖으로 넘치게 하며, 강물들은 거리로 흘러 넘치게 하라. Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. | |||
| ☞잠5:17 | 그 물들이 오직 네 것만 되게 하고, 너와 함께 있는 타국인들의 것이 되지 못하게 하라. Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee. | |||
| ☞잠5:18 | 네 샘으로 복을 받게 하고, 네 젊은 날의 아내와 더불어 기뻐하라. Let thy fountain be blessed： and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. | |||
| ☞잠5:19 | 그녀로 사랑스러운 암사슴 같게 하고 우아한 노루 같게 하라. 그녀의 가슴을 언제나 만족하게 여기며, 그녀의 사랑으로 항상 기뻐하라. Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love. | |||
| ☞잠5:20 | 내 아들아, 어찌하여 네가 타국 여인과 더불어 기뻐하며 타국 여자의 품을 안으려 하느냐? And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger? | |||
| ☞잠5:21 | 사람의 길들은 주의 눈 앞에 있으니, 그가 사람의 모든 길들을 살펴보시느니라. For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings. | |||
| ☞잠5:22 | 악인은 자신의 악에 걸리며 자기 죄들의 줄들에 매이리라. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. | |||
| ☞잠5:23 | 그는 훈계 없이 죽을 것이요, 큰 어리석음으로 그릇되이 갈 것이니라. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray. | |||
