| ☞잠7:1 | 내 아들아, 내 말을 지키고 내 계명들을 간직하라. My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. | |||
| ☞잠7:2 | 내 계명들을 지키라. 그리하면 살리라. 내 법을 네 눈동자처럼 지키라. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. | |||
| ☞잠7:3 | 그것들을 네 손가락에 묶으며 네 마음판에 새기라. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. | |||
| ☞잠7:4 | 지혜에게 말하기를 "너는 내 누이라." 하며, 명철을 네 친척이라 부르라. Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman： | |||
| ☞잠7:5 | 그리하면 그것들이 너를 타국 여인으로부터, 말로써 아첨하는 타국 여인으로부터 지켜 주리라. That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words. | |||
| ☞잠7:6 | 내가 내 집의 창문에서 창살을 통해 내다보다가 For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, | |||
| ☞잠7:7 | 우매한 자들 가운데, 내가 보아 젊은이들 가운데 명철이 없는 한 청년을 찾아냈는데, And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, | |||
| ☞잠7:8 | 그가 거리를 지나 그녀의 모퉁이 가까이 이르러 그녀의 집을 향해 길을 가더라. Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, | |||
| ☞잠7:9 | 땅거미가 지는 저녁 무렵, 어둡고 캄캄한 밤이었는데 In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night： | |||
| ☞잠7:10 | 보라, 창녀의 옷을 입고 간교한 마음을 지닌 한 여자가 그를 맞으니 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. | |||
| ☞잠7:11 | (그녀는 수다스럽고 고집스러워서 발이 집에 머물러 있지 아니하며 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house： | |||
| ☞잠7:12 | 때로는 밖에서, 때로는 거리에서, 또 모든 길 모퉁이에서 기다리는도다.) Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.) | |||
| ☞잠7:13 | 그리하여 그녀가 그를 붙잡고 그에게 입맞추며 가증한 얼굴로 그에게 말하기를 So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, | |||
| ☞잠7:14 | "내가 화목제를 드려서 오늘 내 서원을 이루었도다. I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. | |||
| ☞잠7:15 | 그러므로 내가 너를 맞으려고 나와서 네 얼굴을 부지런히 찾다가 너를 만났도다. Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. | |||
| ☞잠7:16 | 내가 내 침상을 이집트의 비단천에 수놓은 채색 이불로 폈고 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. | |||
| ☞잠7:17 | 내 침상에다 몰약과 알로에와 계피향을 뿌렸노라. I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. | |||
| ☞잠7:18 | 오라, 우리가 아침까지 사랑으로 가득 채우며, 사랑으로 서로 위안하자. Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning： let us solace ourselves with loves. | |||
| ☞잠7:19 | 이는 남편이 집에 없음이니, 그가 먼 여행을 떠났느니라. For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey： | |||
| ☞잠7:20 | 그에게는 돈 주머니가 있으므로 만월 때에나 집에 오리라." 하였노라. He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed. | |||
| ☞잠7:21 | 그녀가 여러 가지 달콤한 말로 그를 홀리고 아첨하는 입술로 그를 꾀므로 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. | |||
| ☞잠7:22 | 그가 곧장 그녀를 따라가니, 수소가 도살장으로 가는 것 같고 어리석은 자가 징계받으러 가는 것 같으니 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; | |||
| ☞잠7:23 | 결국 화살이 그의 간을 꿰뚫을 것이요, 마치 새가 자기 목숨을 잃는 줄도 모르고 급히 덫으로 들어가는 것과 같으니라. Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. | |||
| ☞잠7:24 | 그러므로, 오 너희 자녀들아, 이제 내 말을 듣고 내 입의 말들을 경청하라. Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. | |||
| ☞잠7:25 | 네 마음이 그녀의 길들로 기울어지지 않게 하며 그녀의 행로들로 그릇되이 가지 않게 하라. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. | |||
| ☞잠7:26 | 이는 그녀가 많은 사람들을 상처내어 쓰러뜨렸음이니, 정녕, 많은 강한 자들이 그녀로 인하여 죽임을 당하였느니라. For she hath cast down many wounded： yea, many strong men have been slain by her. | |||
| ☞잠7:27 | 그녀의 집은 지옥으로 가는 길이며 죽음의 방들로 내려가는 길이니라. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. | |||
