| ☞신19:1 | 주 너의 하나님께서 민족들을 베어 버리신 후 주 너의 하나님께서 그 땅을 네게 주셔서 네가 그 땅들을 차지하고 그들의 성읍들과 그들의 집들에서 거하면 When the LORD thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses; | |||
| ☞신19:2 | 너는 주 너의 하나님께서 네게 차지하라고 주시는 네 땅 가운데서 세 성읍을 구별할지니라. Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it. | |||
| ☞신19:3 | 너는 주 너의 하나님께서 네게 유업으로 주시는 네 땅의 지경을 세 부분으로 나눠서 길을 마련하여 모든 살인자로 그곳으로 피하게 하라. Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither. | |||
| ☞신19:4 | 살인자가 그곳으로 도피하여 살 수 있는 경우는 이러하니, 과거에 미워하지 않던 자기 이웃을 부지중에 죽인 자라. And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live： Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; | |||
| ☞신19:5 | 어떤 사람이 자기 이웃과 더불어 벌목하러 산림 속으로 들어갔는데, 나무를 자를 때 손에 도끼를 들고 찍다가 도끼가 자루에서 빠져 자기 이웃을 우연히 맞추어 그가 죽으면 그 사람은 그 성읍 중의 하나로 도피하여 살지니 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live： | |||
| ☞신19:6 | 그 피의 보복자가 마음이 뜨거워져 그 살인자를 쫓아가다가 그 길이 멀어서 그를 따라잡아 그를 죽이지 않게 하려는 것이라. 이는 그가 과거에 그 이웃 사람을 미워하지 않은 이상 그를 죽이는 것이 합당치 않음이라. Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past. | |||
| ☞신19:7 | 그러므로 내가 네게 명령하여 말하노니, 너는 너를 위하여 세 성읍을 구별할지니라. Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee. | |||
| ☞신19:8 | 만일 주 너의 하나님께서 네 지경을 넓히시어 그 분께서 네 조상들에게 맹세하셨던 것처럼 그 분께서 네 조상들에게 주시기로 약속하신 모든 땅을 네게 주신다면 And if the LORD thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers; | |||
| ☞신19:9 | 또 만일 오늘 내가 네게 명령하는 것, 즉 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하고 그 분의 길에서 항상 행하라는 이 모든 명령들을 네가 지켜 행한다면, 너는 그 셋 외에 너를 위하여 이 세 성읍을 더하여 If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three： | |||
| ☞신19:10 | 무죄한 피가 주 너의 하나님께서 유업으로 네게 주시는 네 땅에서 흐르지 않게 하며 그 피가 네게로 돌아가지 않게 하라. That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee. | |||
| ☞신19:11 | 그러나 만일 어떤 사람이 자기 이웃을 미워하여 그를 숨어 기다리다가 일어나서 그를 심하게 쳐서 죽이고 이 성읍 중 하나로 도피하면 But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities： | |||
| ☞신19:12 | 그때에 그 사람의 성읍의 장로들은 사람을 보내서 그를 거기서 잡아다가 피의 보복자의 손에 넘겨 그를 죽이게 할지니라. Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die. | |||
| ☞신19:13 | 네 눈은 그를 불쌍히 여기지 말고 너는 이스라엘로부터 무죄한 피를 제할지니라. 그리하면 네가 잘되리라. Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee. | |||
| ☞신19:14 | 너는 주 너의 하나님께서 차지하라고 네게 주시는 그 땅에서 유업으로 받을 네 유업에서 옛날 조상이 정해 놓은 네 이웃의 지계표를 옮기지 말지니라. Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it. | |||
| ☞신19:15 | 한 사람이 지은 어떤 죄에 있어서도 그 죄악이나 죄에 대해 한 증인은 일어서지 말 것이요, 두 증인의 증언이나 세 증인의 증언으로 그 문제를 결정지을지니라. One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth： at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. | |||
| ☞신19:16 | 만일 거짓 증거하는 자가 일어나서 어떤 사람이 잘못하였다고 그 사람을 대적하여 증거하거든 If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong; | |||
| ☞신19:17 | 그때에는 시비하는 두 사람이 주 앞과 그 당시의 제사장들과 재판관들 앞에 설 것이요 Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days; | |||
| ☞신19:18 | 그 재판관들은 충실히 조사할지니, 보라, 만일 그 증언이 거짓 증거이고 자기 형제에게 거짓으로 증거하였다면 And the judges shall make diligent inquisition： and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother; | |||
| ☞신19:19 | 그때에 너희는 그가 그의 형제에게 행하려고 생각했던 대로 그에게 행하여 너는 너희 가운데서 악을 제할지니라. Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother： so shalt thou put the evil away from among you. | |||
| ☞신19:20 | 그리하면 남은 자들이 듣고 두려워하여 그 후부터는 너희 가운데서 그런 악을 더이상 범하지 아니하리라. And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you. | |||
| ☞신19:21 | 네 눈은 불쌍히 여기지 말지니, 생명에는 생명으로, 눈에는 눈으로, 이에는 이로, 손에는 손으로, 발에는 발로 할지니라. And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. | |||
