| ☞행6:1 | 그 당시에 제자들의 수가 늘어나고 그리스인들이 히브리인들에 대하여 불평이 일어나니, 이는 그들의 과부가 매일의 구제에서 소외됨이라. And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. | |||
| ☞행6:2 | 그러자 열두 사도가 모든 제자를 불러서 말하기를 "우리가 하나님의 말씀을 버려두고 식단을 돌보는 것이 옳지 아니하도다. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. | |||
| ☞행6:3 | 그러므로 형제들아, 너희 가운데서 성령과 지혜로 충만하여 칭찬 듣는 일곱 사람을 찾아서 택하여 이 일을 맡기고 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. | |||
| ☞행6:4 | 우리는 계속해서 기도하는 일과 말씀의 사역에 전념하리라."고 하더라. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. | |||
| ☞행6:5 | 그 말이 온 무리를 기쁘게 하니라. 그리하여 그들이 믿음과 성령으로 충만한 스테판과 빌립, 프로코로, 니카놀, 티몬, 파메나와 유대교로 개종한 안티옥 사람 니콜라오를 뽑아서 And the saying pleased the whole multitude： and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch： | |||
| ☞행6:6 | 사도들 앞에 세우니 기도한 후에 그들에게 안수하더라. Whom they set before the apostles： and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them. | |||
| ☞행6:7 | 하나님의 말씀이 널리 전파되니 예루살렘에 있는 제자들의 수가 크게 늘었으며, 제사장의 큰 무리도 이 믿음에 순종하더라. And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. | |||
| ☞행6:8 | 스테판이 믿음과 능력이 충만하여 백성 가운데서 큰 이적들과 표적들을 행하더라. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. | |||
| ☞행6:9 | 그 때에 리버티노와 쿠레네인과 알렉산드리아인의 회당이라고 불리는 회당에 속한 어떤 사람들과 킬리키아와 아시아에서 온 사람들 가운데 어떤 사람들이 일어나서 스테판과 더불어 변론하더라. Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. | |||
| ☞행6:10 | 그러나 그들은 지혜와 영으로 말하는 그를 당해 내지 못하더라. And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. | |||
| ☞행6:11 | 그러자 그들이 은밀히 사람들을 매수하여 "우리는 그가 모세와 하나님을 모독하여 말하는 것을 들었노라."고 말하게 하더라. Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God. | |||
| ☞행6:12 | 그리하여 그들은 백성과 장로들과 서기관들을 선동하고 그에게 달려들어 그를 붙잡아 공회로 데리고 와서 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council, | |||
| ☞행6:13 | 거짓 증인들을 세워 말하기를 "이 사람이 이 거룩한 곳과 율법을 거슬러 모독하는 말을 끊임없이 하였으니 And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law： | |||
| ☞행6:14 | 우리는 그가 '이 나사렛 예수가 이곳을 헐 것이며, 또 모세가 우리에게 준 관례를 변경시킬 것이라.'고 하는 것을 들었도다."라고 하더라. For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us. | |||
| ☞행6:15 | 공회에 앉은 모든 사람이 그를 주시하여 보니 그의 얼굴이 천사의 얼굴과 같더라. And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel. | |||
