| ☞행12:1 | 그 무렵에 헤롯왕이 교회에서 몇 사람을 해치려고 손을 뻗치더니 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. | |||
| ☞행12:2 | 요한의 형제 야고보를 칼로 죽이니라. And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. | |||
| ☞행12:3 | 그 일이 유대인들을 기쁘게 한 것을 알고서 그가 베드로도 잡고자 하더라. (그 때는 무교절 기간이더라.) And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) | |||
| ☞행12:4 | 그가 베드로를 잡아서 감옥에 가두고 네 명씩 네 조의 병사들을 붙여 교대로 지키게 하니, 이스터가 지나면 그를 백성들 앞에 끌어낼 의도였더라. And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. | |||
| ☞행12:5 | 그리하여 베드로는 감옥에 갇혔으나 교회가 그를 위하여 하나님께 쉬지 않고 기도하더라. Peter therefore was kept in prison： but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. | |||
| ☞행12:6 | 헤롯이 그를 끌어내려고 한 그 날 밤 베드로는 두 병사 사이에서 두 쇠사슬에 묶인 채 자고 있었고 또 간수들은 문 앞에서 감옥을 지키고 있었는데 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains： and the keepers before the door kept the prison. | |||
| ☞행12:7 | 보라, 주의 천사가 그에게 나타나니 감옥 안에 빛이 비치더라. 또 천사가 베드로의 옆구리를 쳐서 일으켜 말하기를 "급히 일어나라."고 하니, 쇠사슬들이 손에서 벗겨지더라. And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison： and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. | |||
| ☞행12:8 | 그 천사가 그에게 말하기를 "띠를 두르고 네 신을 매라." 하기에 그가 그렇게 하고, 또 그에게 말하기를 "네 겉옷을 걸치고 나를 따르라." 하니 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. | |||
| ☞행12:9 | 그가 나가서 그를 따라가면서도 천사가 하는 일이 현실인 것을 깨닫지 못하고 환상을 보는 줄로 생각하더라. And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. | |||
| ☞행12:10 | 그들이 첫 번째와 두 번째 경비병을 통과하여 성읍으로 통하는 철문 앞에 당도하니 문이 저절로 열린지라. 그들이 나와서 한 거리를 지나자 그 천사가 그에게서 떠나더라. When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord： and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. | |||
| ☞행12:11 | 그러자 베드로가 정신이 나서 말하기를 "이제 내가 확실히 알았노니 주께서 그의 천사를 보내시어 헤롯의 손과 유대 백성의 모든 기대에서 나를 구해내셨도다."라고 하더라. And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews. | |||
| ☞행12:12 | 그가 그 일을 생각하며 마가라고 하는 요한의 모친 마리아의 집에 오니, 그 곳에서 많은 사람이 모여 함께 기도하고 있더라. And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. | |||
| ☞행12:13 | 베드로가 현관문을 두드리니 로데라고 하는 한 소녀가 듣고서 나왔다가 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. | |||
| ☞행12:14 | 베드로의 음성인 것을 알고 기뻐서 현관문을 열지 않은 채 뛰어들어가 현관 앞에 베드로가 서 있다고 말하니 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. | |||
| ☞행12:15 | 그들이 소녀에게 말하기를 "네가 미쳤다."고 하더라. 그래도 그녀가 사실이라고 계속해서 주장하니 그들이 말하기를 "그것은 그의 천사라."고 하더라. And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel. | |||
| ☞행12:16 | 베드로가 계속 문을 두드리니 그들이 문을 열고 베드로를 보자 놀라더라. But Peter continued knocking： and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished. | |||
| ☞행12:17 | 베드로가 그들에게 손짓으로 조용히 하게 하고, 주께서 어떻게 자기를 감옥에서 이끌어 내셨는가를 설명하고 또 말하기를 "가서, 이 일을 야고보와 다른 형제들에게 말해 주라." 하고는 그 곳을 떠나 다른 곳으로 가니라. But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. | |||
| ☞행12:18 | 날이 새자마자 병사들 가운데는 베드로가 어떻게 되었는가 하여 적지 않은 소동이 있더라. Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter. | |||
| ☞행12:19 | 그때 헤롯이 그를 찾았으나 찾지 못하자 간수들을 심문하고 그들을 사형에 처하라고 명령하더라. 그 후 그는 유대를 떠나 카이사랴로 가서 그 곳에서 머무르더라. And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode. | |||
| ☞행12:20 | 헤롯이 투로와 시돈 사람들을 대단히 노엽게 생각하였는데도 그들은 하나가 되어 그에게 와서 왕의 침소를 맡은 그들의 친구 블라스토를 설득하여 화친을 간청하니, 이는 그들의 지방이 왕의 영토에서 나는 식량으로 살기 때문이라. And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon： but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country. | |||
| ☞행12:21 | 그리하여 어느 정한 날에 헤롯이 왕복을 입고 왕좌에 앉아서 그들에게 연설하는데 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. | |||
| ☞행12:22 | 사람들이 외치기를 "저것은 신의 음성이지 사람의 음성이 아니다."라고 하니 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. | |||
| ☞행12:23 | 그때 즉시 주의 천사가 그를 치더라. 이는 그가 하나님께 영광을 돌리지 아니하였기 때문이라. 그리하여 벌레들이 그를 먹으니 그가 죽더라. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory： and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. | |||
| ☞행12:24 | 한편 하나님의 말씀은 성장하고 번성하더라. But the word of God grew and multiplied. | |||
| ☞행12:25 | 그때 바나바와 사울이 그들의 임무를 마치고 예루살렘에서 돌아왔는데, 마가라고 하는 요한도 데리고 왔더라. And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark. | |||
