| ☞창23:1 | 사라가 백이십칠 세였는데 이것이 사라의 연수였더라. And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old： these were the years of the life of Sarah. | |||
| ☞창23:2 | 사라가 카나안 땅 헤브론 즉 키럇아르바에서 죽으니 아브라함이 사라를 위하여 와서 울며 애곡하더라. And Sarah died in Kirjath-arba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan： and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her. | |||
| ☞창23:3 | 아브라함이 그 시체 앞에서 일어서서 헷의 아들들에게 일러 말하기를 And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying, | |||
| ☞창23:4 | "나는 타국인이요 당신들 가운데 기거하는 자니 당신들 가운데서 매장지를 내게 소유로 주어서 나의 죽은 자를 내 앞에서 장사하게 해 주시오." 하니 I am a stranger and a sojourner with you： give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight. | |||
| ☞창23:5 | 헷의 자손들이 아브라함에게 대답하여 말하기를 And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him, | |||
| ☞창23:6 | "내 주여 들으소서. 당신은 우리 가운데서 강력한 통치자이시니 우리의 묘실 중에서 좋은 것을 골라 당신의 죽은 자를 장사하소서. 우리 중에는 아무도 자기의 묘실에다 당신의 죽은 자를 장사함을 금지시킬 자가 없으리이다." 하니 Hear us, my lord： thou art a mighty prince among us： in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead. | |||
| ☞창23:7 | 아브라함이 일어서서 그 땅의 백성들 곧 헷의 자손들에게 절하고 And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth. | |||
| ☞창23:8 | 그들과 이야기하여 말하기를 "내가 나의 죽은 자를 내 면전에서 장사해야 하는 것이 당신들의 생각이라면, 내 말을 듣고 나를 위하여 소알의 아들 에프론에게 간청하여 And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar, | |||
| ☞창23:9 | 그가 그의 들 끝에 갖고 있는 막펠라 굴을 내게 주게 하되 그 값나가는 대로 돈을 받고, 그가 당신들 가운데서 내게 주어 매장지로 소유하게 하소서." 하니 That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you. | |||
| ☞창23:10 | 에프론이 헷의 자손들 사이에 거하였는데 힛인 에프론은 헷의 자손들, 즉 그의 성읍 문에 들어간 모든 사람이 듣는 데서 아브라함에게 대답하여 말하기를 And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth： and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying, | |||
| ☞창23:11 | "내 주여, 그리 마시고 내 말을 들으소서. 그 들을 당신께 드리며, 거기 있는 굴도 당신께 드리어 내 백성의 아들들의 면전에서 내가 그것을 당신께 드리오니, 당신의 죽은 자를 장사하소서." 하더라. Nay, my lord, hear me： the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee： bury thy dead. | |||
| ☞창23:12 | 아브라함이 그 땅의 백성들 앞에서 절하더라. And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land. | |||
| ☞창23:13 | 그리고 그가 그 땅 백성들이 듣는 데서 에프론에게 일러 말하기를 "당신이 그것을 주신다면 부탁하노니, 내 말을 들으시오. 내가 그 들의 값을 드릴테니 내게서 받으시오. 그러면 내가 내 죽은 자를 거기 장사하리다." 하자 And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me： I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there. | |||
| ☞창23:14 | 에프론이 아브라함에게 대답하여 말하기를 And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him, | |||
| ☞창23:15 | "내 주여 내게 귀를 기울이소서. 그 땅은 은 사백 세켈이나 나와 당신 사이에 무슨 상관이니이까? 당신의 죽은 자를 그곳에 장사하소서." 하니 My lord, hearken unto me： the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead. | |||
| ☞창23:16 | 아브라함이 에프론에게 귀를 기울이고 아브라함이 헷의 아들들이 듣는 데서 그가 말한 대로 상인들이 통용하는 돈, 은 사백 세켈을 에프론에게 달아 주더라. And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant. | |||
| ☞창23:17 | 마므레 앞 막펠라에 있는 에프론의 들, 곧 들과 거기 있는 굴, 들 사면의 모든 지경에 있는 모든 나무들이 And the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure | |||
| ☞창23:18 | 헷 자손들의 면전, 즉 그의 성읍 문에 들어온 모든 사람들 앞에서 아브라함의 소유로 확정되었더라. Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city. | |||
| ☞창23:19 | 이 일 후에 아브라함이 그의 아내 사라를 카나안 땅 헤브론, 곧 마므레 앞 막펠라 들의 굴에다 장사하였더라. And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre： the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan. | |||
| ☞창23:20 | 그 들과 거기에 있는 굴은 헷의 아들들에 의하여 아브라함에게 매장지로 소유가 확정되었더라. And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth. | |||
