| ☞왕상19:1 | 아합이 이세벨에게 엘리야가 행한 모든 일과, 그가 모든 선지자들을 어떻게 칼로 죽였는가를 말하니 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. | |||
| ☞왕상19:2 | 이세벨이 엘리야에게 사자를 보내어 말하기를 "내가 내일 이맘때까지 네 생명을 그들 중 하나의 생명같이 만들지 아니하면 신들이 내게 벌을 내리고 더 내리시기를 원하노라." 하더라. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. | |||
| ☞왕상19:3 | 엘리야가 그것을 보고 일어나 그의 생명을 위하여 가서, 유다에 속한 브엘세바에 이르러 그의 종을 거기에 남겨 두니라. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. | |||
| ☞왕상19:4 | 그러나 자신은 광야로 하룻길을 갔으니, 그가 향나무 아래로 가서 앉아, 죽기를 구하여 말하기를 "이것으로 족하오니, 오 주여, 이제 내 생명을 취하소서. 내가 내 조상들보다 낫지 못하나이다." 하더라. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree： and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. | |||
| ☞왕상19:5 | 그리고 그가 향나무 아래서 누워 잠들었는데, 보라, 한 천사가 그를 만지며 그에게 말하기를 "일어나 먹으라." 하는지라 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. | |||
| ☞왕상19:6 | 그가 보니, 보라, 그의 머리맡에 숯불에 구운 과자와 물 한 병이 있더라. 그가 먹고 마신 후 다시 누우니 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. | |||
| ☞왕상19:7 | 주의 천사가 두 번째로 다시 와서 그를 만지며 말하기를 "일어나 먹으라. 갈 길이 네게 너무 크니라." 하더라. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. | |||
| ☞왕상19:8 | 그가 일어나 먹고 마시고 그 음식의 힘으로 사십 일 밤낮을 가서 하나님의 산 호렙에 이르렀더라. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God. | |||
| ☞왕상19:9 | 그가 거기서 한 굴에 이르러, 거기서 머물렀더라. 보라, 주의 말씀이 그에게 임하여 그에게 말씀하시기를 "엘리야야, 네가 여기서 무엇하느냐?" 하시니 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah? | |||
| ☞왕상19:10 | 그가 말하기를 "내가 만군의 주 하나님으로 인하여 심히 질투하였사오니, 이는 이스라엘 자손이 주의 언약을 버리고 주의 제단을 헐었으며 주의 선지자들을 칼로 죽였음이니이다. 나, 오직 나만이 남았는데 그들이 내 생명도 앗아가려고 찾고 있나이다." 하더라. And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts： for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. | |||
| ☞왕상19:11 | 주께서 말씀하시기를 "산 위로 가서 주 앞에 서라." 하시니, 보라, 주께서 지나가시는데 크고 강한 바람이 산들을 가르고 주 앞에서 바위들을 산산조각 냈으나 주께서 그 바람 속에 계시지 아니하였으며, 바람 후에 지진이 있었으나 주께서 그 지진 속에도 계시지 아니하더라. And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind： and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake： | |||
| ☞왕상19:12 | 또 지진 후에 불이 있었으나 주께서 그 불 속에도 계시지 아니하더니, 그 불 후에 미세한 음성이 있는지라 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire： and after the fire a still small voice. | |||
| ☞왕상19:13 | 엘리야가 그 음성을 듣자 그의 외투로 얼굴을 싸고 나가서 굴의 입구에 서 있는데, 보라, 한 음성이 그에게 임하여 말씀하시기를 "엘리야야, 네가 여기서 무엇하느냐?" 하시더라. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah? | |||

| ☞왕상19:15 | 주께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 "가라, 네 길을 다마스커스의 광야로 돌이키라. 네가 이르거든 하사엘에게 기름 부어 시리아를 다스릴 왕이 되게 하고 And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus： and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria： | |||
| ☞왕상19:16 | 또 님시의 아들 예후에게 기름 부어 이스라엘을 다스리는 왕이 되게 하며, 또 아벨므홀라의 사밧의 아들 엘리사에게 기름 부어 네 대신 선지자가 되게 하라. And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel： and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room. | |||
| ☞왕상19:17 | 하사엘의 칼을 피하는 자는 예후가 죽일 것이며, 또 예후의 칼로부터 피하는 자는 엘리사가 죽이리라. And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay： and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay. | |||
| ☞왕상19:18 | 그러나 내가 나를 위하여 이스라엘에 아직 칠천 명을 남겨 두었나니, 곧 바알에게 꿇지 아니한 모든 무릎과, 바알에게 입맞추지 아니한 모든 입이라." 하시니라. Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him. | |||
| ☞왕상19:19 | 그리하여 그가 거기서 떠나 사밧의 아들 엘리사를 만났으니, 그가 자기 앞에 열두 겨리의 소를 세워 밭을 가는데 그는 열두 번째 겨리와 함께 있는지라, 엘리야가 그를 지나치며 자기 외투를 그의 위에 던지니 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth： and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. | |||
| ☞왕상19:20 | 그가 수소들을 버려 두고 달려가 엘리야를 따라가며 말하기를 "내가 청하오니, 나로 내 아버지와 내 어머니에게 입맞추게 하소서. 그런 후에 내가 당신을 따르리이다." 하므로 엘리야가 그에게 말하기를 "다시 돌아가라. 내가 네게 무엇을 하였느냐?" 하더라. And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again： for what have I done to thee? | |||
| ☞왕상19:21 | 그가 엘리야로부터 돌아가 한 겨리의 수소들을 취하여 그것들을 잡고 수소의 기구로 그 고기를 끓여 사람들에게 주니 그들이 먹더라. 그리고 나서 그가 일어나 엘리야를 따라가서 그를 섬기더라. And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him. | |||
