| ☞요9:1 | 예수께서 지나가시다가 날 때부터 소경된 사람을 보신지라. And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. | |||
| ☞요9:2 | 제자들이 주께 물어 말씀드리기를 "선생님, 이 사람이 소경으로 태어난 것은 누가 죄를 지은 것이니이까? 이 사람이니이까 아니면 그의 부모니이까?"라고 하니 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? | |||
| ☞요9:3 | 예수께서 대답하시기를 "이 사람이나 그의 부모가 죄를 지은 것이 아니요 오직 그 사람 안에서 하나님의 일들을 나타내고자 함이라. Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents： but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. | |||
| ☞요9:4 | 때가 낮일 동안에 나는 나를 보내신 분의 일들을 행하여야 하리라. 밤이 오면 그때는 아무도 일할 수 없느니라. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day： the night cometh, when no man can work. | |||
| ☞요9:5 | 내가 세상에 있는 동안 나는 세상의 빛이라."고 하시니라. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. | |||
| ☞요9:6 | 이렇게 말씀하신 후에 주께서 땅에 침을 뱉어 진흙을 이겨 그 소경의 눈에 바르시고 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, | |||
| ☞요9:7 | 그에게 말씀하시기를 "가서 실로암 못에서 씻으라."고 하시니라 (실로암은 해석하면 "보냈다."는 뜻이라). 그러므로 그가 가서 씻고 보면서 왔더라. And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. | |||
| ☞요9:8 | 그때 이웃 사람들과 전에 그가 소경이었던 것을 본 사람들이 말하기를 "이 사람은 앉아서 구걸하던 그 사람이 아니냐?"고 하더라. The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? | |||
| ☞요9:9 | 어떤 사람들은 "그 사람이라."고도 하고, 또 다른 사람들은 "그 사람을 닮았다."고도 하는데 그가 말하기를 "내가 그 사람이라."고 하니라. Some said, This is he： others said, He is like him： but he said, I am he. | |||
| ☞요9:10 | 사람들이 그에게 말하기를 "어떻게 해서 네 눈이 떠졌느냐?"고 하니 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? | |||
| ☞요9:11 | 그가 대답하여 말하기를 "예수라는 사람이 진흙을 이겨 내 눈에 바르고 내게 말하기를 '실로암 못에 가서 씻으라.'고 하기에 가서 씻었더니 보게 되었노라."고 하더라. He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash： and I went and washed, and I received sight. | |||
| ☞요9:12 | 그 사람들이 "그가 어디 있느냐?"고 하니, 그가 말하기를 "나는 모르노라."고 하더라. Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not. | |||
| ☞요9:13 | 그 사람들이 전에 소경이었던 그를 바리새인들에게 데려오더라. They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. | |||
| ☞요9:14 | 그런데 예수께서 진흙을 이겨 그의 눈을 뜨게 하신 날은 안식일이었더라. And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. | |||
| ☞요9:15 | 그러므로 바리새인들이 그에게 어떻게 보게 되었느냐고 다시 물으니, 그가 그들에게 말하기를 "그 분이 내 눈에 진흙을 발라 주시기에 그 후에 내가 씻고 보게 되었노라."고 하니라. Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. | |||
| ☞요9:16 | 그 바리새인들 중 몇 사람이 말하기를 "그 사람은 하나님께로부터 온 사람이 아니니 이는 그가 안식일을 지키지 않기 때문이라."고 하니, 다른 사람들이 말하기를 "죄인인 사람이 어떻게 그러한 기적들을 행할 수 있느냐?"고 하더라. 그리하여 그들 가운데 분열이 생기더라. Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. | |||
| ☞요9:17 | 그들이 다시 그 소경에게 말하기를 "그 사람이 너의 눈을 뜨게 하였으니 너는 그 사람을 어떤 사람이라고 말하느냐?"고 하니, 그가 말하기를 "그는 선지자라."고 하더라. They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. | |||
| ☞요9:18 | 그래도 유대인들은 보게 된 그 사람의 부모를 불러올 때까지는 소경이었다가 보게 된 그 사람에 관해서 믿지 아니하더라. But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. | |||
| ☞요9:19 | 그리하여 그들이 그 부모에게 물어 말하기를 "이 사람이 너희가 나면서부터 소경이라고 말하는 너희 아들이냐? 그런데 어떻게 해서 지금은 보느냐?"고 하니 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? | |||
| ☞요9:20 | 그의 부모가 그들에게 대답하여 말하기를 "우리가 아는 것은 이 사람이 우리의 아들인 것과 그가 나면서부터 소경이었다는 것이니이다. His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind： | |||
| ☞요9:21 | 그러나 지금 그가 어떻게 보게 되었는지 우리는 알지 못하며, 또 누가 그의 눈을 뜨게 해 주었는지도 알지 못하나이다. 그가 장성하였으니 그에게 물어 보소서. 그가 자신에 관하여 말하리이다."라고 하니 But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not： he is of age; ask him： he shall speak for himself. | |||
| ☞요9:22 | 그의 부모가 이렇게 말한 것은 그들이 유대인들을 두려워하기 때문이더라. 이는 유대인들이 만일 누구라도 그를 그리스도라고 시인하면 그 사람을 회당에서 출회시키기로 이미 결의해 놓았기 때문이라. These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews： for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. | |||
| ☞요9:23 | 이 때문에 그의 부모가 말하기를 '그가 장성하였으니 그에게 물어 보소서.'라고 한 것이라. Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. | |||
| ☞요9:24 | 그러므로 유대인들이 소경이었던 그 사람을 다시 불러서 그에게 말하기를 "하나님께 영광을 돌리라. 우리는 이 사람이 죄인인 줄 아노라."고 하니 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise： we know that this man is a sinner. | |||
| ☞요9:25 | 그가 대답하여 말하되 "나는 그가 죄인인지 아닌지 모르지만 내가 한 가지 아는 것은 내가 전에는 소경이었다가 지금은 본다는 것이라."고 하니라. He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not： one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. | |||
| ☞요9:26 | 그들이 그에게 다시 말하기를 "그 사람이 너에게 무엇을 했느냐? 어떻게 너의 눈을 뜨게 했느냐?"고 하니 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? | |||
| ☞요9:27 | 그가 그들에게 대답하기를 "내가 이미 당신들에게 말하였는데도 듣지 아니하더니 어찌하여 또 다시 듣고자 하는가? 당신들도 그의 제자가 되기 원하는가?"라고 하자 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear： wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples? | |||
| ☞요9:28 | 그들이 그에게 욕하며 말하기를 "너는 그 사람의 제자이나 우리는 모세의 제자라. Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples. | |||
| ☞요9:29 | 우리는 하나님께서 모세에게 말씀하신 것은 알지만 이 자는 어디서 왔는지 알지 못하노라."고 하니 We know that God spake unto Moses： as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is. | |||
| ☞요9:30 | 그가 대답하여 그들에게 말하기를 "그 분이 내 눈을 뜨게 해 주셨는데 그 분이 어디서 왔는지 당신들이 모르다니 이것은 참으로 이상한 일이로다. The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. | |||
| ☞요9:31 | 이제 우리가 아는 것은 하나님께서는 죄인들을 듣지 않으시나, 누구든지 하나님을 경외하고 그 분의 뜻을 행하면 하나님께서 그를 들으신다는 것이라. Now we know that God heareth not sinners： but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. | |||
| ☞요9:32 | 세상이 시작된 이래 누군가가 소경으로 난 사람의 눈을 뜨게 하였다는 것을 들어보지 못하였으니 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. | |||
| ☞요9:33 | 만일 이 사람이 하나님께로부터 오지 않았다면 그는 아무것도 할 수 없었으리라."고 하니라. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. | |||
| ☞요9:34 | 그들이 대답하여 그에게 말하기를 "네가 전적으로 죄들 가운데 태어나서 우리를 가르치려고 하느냐?" 하며 그를 쫓아내더라. They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out. | |||
| ☞요9:35 | 예수께서 유대인들이 그를 쫓아내었다는 말을 듣고 난 후 그를 만나서 말씀하시기를 "너는 하나님의 아들을 믿느냐?"고 하시니 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? | |||
| ☞요9:36 | 그가 대답하여 말씀드리기를 "그가 누구시니이까? 주여, 내가 그를 믿고자 하나이다."라고 하니라. He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? | |||
| ☞요9:37 | 예수께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 "네가 그를 보았거니와 너와 말하고 있는 이가 그니라."고 하니 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. | |||
| ☞요9:38 | 그때 그가 말씀드리기를 "주여, 내가 믿나이다." 하고 주께 경배하더라. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. | |||
| ☞요9:39 | 그러자 예수께서 말씀하시기를 "내가 심판을 위하여 이 세상에 왔으니, 이는 보지 못하는 자들은 보게 하고 보는 자들은 소경되게 하려 함이라."고 하시니라. And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. | |||
| ☞요9:40 | 주와 함께 있던 바리새인들 몇 사람이 이 말씀을 듣고 주께 말하기를 "우리도 소경이란 말인가?"라고 하니 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? | |||
| ☞요9:41 | 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를 "만일 너희가 소경이라면 죄가 없을 것이나 이제 너희가 말하기를 '우리는 본다.'고 하므로 너희 죄가 남아 있느니라."고 하시니라. Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin： but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. | |||
