☞요14:1 "너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라. 너희가 하나님을 믿으니 또한 나를 믿으라.
Let not your heart be troubled： ye believe in God, believe also in me.
☞요14:2 내 아버지 집에는 많은 저택들이 있느니라. 그렇지 아니하면 내가 너희에게 말하였으리라. 나는 너희를 위하여 처소를 마련하러 가노라.
In my Father's house are many mansions： if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
☞요14:3 내가 가서 너희를 위하여 처소를 마련하면 다시 와서 너희를 내게로 영접하여 내가 있는 그 곳에 너희도 있게 하리라.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
☞요14:4 내가 어디로 가는지 너희가 알고 또 그 길도 너희가 아노라." 하시니
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
☞요14:5 도마가 주께 말씀드리기를 "주여, 우리는 주님께서 어디로 가시는지 모르는데 어떻게 우리가 그 길을 알 수 있나이까?"라고 하니
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
☞요14:6 예수께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 "나는 길이요 진리요 생명이라. 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 사람은 아무도 없느니라.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life： no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
☞요14:7 만일 너희가 나를 알았더라면 내 아버지도 알았으리라. 이제는 너희가 그 분을 알고 또 보았느니라."고 하시니
If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also： and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
☞요14:8 빌립이 주께 말씀드리기를 "주여, 아버지를 우리에게 보여 주소서. 그러면 만족하겠나이다."라고 하니라.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
☞요14:9 예수께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 "빌립아, 내가 너희와 그처럼 오랜 시간을 있었는데 네가 나를 모르겠느냐? 나를 본 자는 아버지를 보았느니라. 그런데 어찌하여 '아버지를 보여 달라.'고 말하느냐?
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
☞요14:10 너는 내가 아버지 안에 있고 또 아버지께서 내 안에 계시는 것을 믿지 아니하느냐? 내가 너에게 하는 말들은 내 스스로 하는 것이 아니라 내 안에 거하시는 아버지께서 그 일들을 하시는 것이라.
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself： but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
☞요14:11 내가 아버지 안에 있고 또 아버지께서 내 안에 계시는 것을 믿으라. 그리하지 못하겠거든 행한 그 일들을 보고 나를 믿으라.
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me： or else believe me for the very works' sake.
☞요14:12 진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 나를 믿는 자는 내가 하는 일들을 할 것이요 또 이보다 더 큰 일들을 할 것이라. 이는 내가 내 아버지께로 가기 때문이라.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
☞요14:13 또 너희가 내 이름으로 무엇이든지 구하면 내가 그것을 행하리니, 이는 아버지로 아들 안에서 영광을 받으시게 하려는 것이라.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
☞요14:14 너희가 무엇이나 내 이름으로 구하면 내가 행하리라.
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
☞요14:15 너희가 나를 사랑하면 나의 계명들을 지키라.
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
☞요14:16 또 내가 아버지께 기도하겠고, 그 분께서 다른 위로자를 너희에게 주시리니 그가 너희와 함께 영원히 거하시리라.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
☞요14:17 진리의 영인 그를 세상은 영접할 수 없으니 이는 세상이 그를 보지도 못하며 또한 알지 못하기 때문이라. 그러나 너희는 그를 아나니 이는 그가 너희와 함께 거하시며 또 너희 안에 계실 것임이라.
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him： but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
☞요14:18 내가 너희를 고아로 남겨 두지 아니하고 너희에게 오리라.
I will not leave you comfortless： I will come to you.
☞요14:19 잠시 후면 세상이 더이상 나를 보지 못하리라. 그러나 너희는 나를 보리라. 이는 내가 살고 너희도 살겠음이라.
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me： because I live, ye shall live also.
☞요14:20 그 날에는 내가 내 아버지 안에 있고 또 너희가 내 안에, 내가 너희 안에 있는 것을 너희가 알게 되리라.
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
☞요14:21 나의 계명들을 가지고 그것을 지키는 사람은 나를 사랑하는 사람이니, 나를 사랑하는 사람은 나의 아버지께 사랑을 받으리라. 또 나도 그를 사랑하여 그 사람에게 나 자신을 나타내리라."고 하시니라.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me： and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
☞요14:22 이스카리옷이 아닌 유다가 주께 말씀드리기를 "주여, 자신을 우리에게는 나타내시고 세상에는 나타내려 하지 아니하시니 어찌된 일이니이까?"라고 하니
Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
☞요14:23 예수께서 대답하여 그에게 말씀하시기를 "나를 사랑하는 사람은 내 말들을 지키리니 그러면 나의 아버지께서 그를 사랑하실 것이며, 또 우리도 그에게 와서 우리의 거처를 그와 함께 정하리라.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words： and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
☞요14:24 나를 사랑하지 않는 자는 나의 말들을 지키지 아니하느니라. 너희가 듣는 말은 내 말이 아니요, 나를 보내신 아버지의 말씀이니라.
He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings： and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
☞요14:25 내가 아직 너희와 함께 있을 때 이런 일들을 너희에게 말하였노라.
These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
☞요14:26 그러나 위로자이신 성령을 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내시리니, 그가 너희에게 모든 것들을 가르치시며 또 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것들을 생각나게 하시리라.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
☞요14:27 내가 너희에게 화평을 남겨 두나니 나의 화평을 너희에게 주노라. 내가 너희에게 주는 것은 세상이 주는 것과 같지 아니하니, 너희는 마음에 근심하지 말고 두려워하지도 말라.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you： not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
☞요14:28 너희는 내가 갔다가 너희에게 다시 온다고 한 말을 들었느니라. 너희가 나를 사랑하였으면 '내가 아버지께로 가노라.' 한 말을 기뻐하였으리라. 이는 내 아버지께서 나보다 위대하심이라.
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father： for my Father is greater than I.
☞요14:29 이제 그 일이 일어나기 전에 내가 너희에게 말한 것은 그 일이 일어날 때 너희로 하여금 믿게 하려는 것이라.
And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
☞요14:30 이후로는 내가 너희에게 많이 말하지 아니하리니 이는 이 세상의 통치자가 오나, 그는 내 안에 아무것도 가지고 있지 아니함이라.
Hereafter I will not talk much with you： for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
☞요14:31 그러나 내가 아버지를 사랑하는 것과 아버지께서 내게 명령하신 대로 내가 행하는 것을 세상으로 알게 하려는 것이라. 일어나라, 여기를 떠나자."고 하시니라.
