☞요13:1 유월절 전에 예수께서 이 세상에서 떠나 아버지께로 가야 할 자기 때가 된 것을 아시고 세상에 있는 자기 사람들을 사랑하시되 그들을 끝까지 사랑하시니라.
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
☞요13:2 저녁 식사가 끝나자 마귀가 이미 시몬의 아들 유다 이스카리옷의 마음 속에 주를 배반할 생각을 넣은지라.
And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
☞요13:3 예수께서는 아버지께서 모든 것들을 자기 손 안에 주신 것과 자기가 하나님께로부터 왔다가 하나님께로 가는 것을 아시고
Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
☞요13:4 저녁 식탁에서 일어나시어 옷을 벗어 한쪽에 놓고 수건을 가지고 허리에 두르시더라.
He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
☞요13:5 대야에 물을 부으신 후 제자들의 발을 씻어 주시며, 또 허리에 두른 수건으로 닦아 주시기 시작하고
After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
☞요13:6 그 다음에 시몬 베드로에게 오시니 그가 주께 말씀드리기를 "주여, 주께서 내 발을 씻기시려 하시나이까?"라고 하니라.
Then cometh he to Simon Peter： and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
☞요13:7 예수께서 대답하여 그에게 말씀하시기를 "내가 하고 있는 일을 네가 지금은 몰라도 이 후에는 알게 되리라."고 하시니
Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
☞요13:8 베드로가 주께 말씀드리기를 "주께서 내 발은 절대로 씻기지 못할 것이니이다."라고 하니, 예수께서 그에게 대답하시기를 "만일 내가 너를 씻기지 아니하면 너는 나와 상관이 없느니라."고 하시더라.
Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
☞요13:9 시몬 베드로가 주께 말씀드리기를 "주여, 내 발뿐만 아니라 손과 머리도 씻어 주소서."라고 하니
Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
☞요13:10 예수께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 "이미 목욕한 사람은 발밖에 씻을 필요가 없으니 그는 온 몸이 깨끗함이라. 너희는 깨끗하나 다 그런 것은 아니니라."고 하시더라.
Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit： and ye are clean, but not all.
☞요13:11 이는 주께서 자기를 배반할 자가 누구인지 아심이라. 그러므로 말씀하시기를 "너희가 다 깨끗한 것은 아니니라."고 하신 것이라.
For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
☞요13:12 그리하여 그들의 발을 씻기신 후에 옷을 입으시고 다시 앉으시어 그들에게 말씀하시기를 "내가 너희에게 행한 일을 알겠느냐?
So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
☞요13:13 너희는 나를 선생이라 또 주라 부르니 너희 말이 옳도다. 이는 내가 그렇기 때문이라.
Ye call me Master and Lord： and ye say well; for so I am.
☞요13:14 내가 너희 주와 선생으로 너희 발을 씻겼으니 너희도 서로의 발을 씻겨 주는 것이 마땅하니라.
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
☞요13:15 내가 너희에게 한 본을 보였으니 내가 너희에게 행한 대로 너희도 행하여야 하리라.
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
☞요13:16 진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 종이 자기 주인보다 더 위대하지 못하며 보냄을 받은 사람이 보낸 사람보다 더 위대하지 못하니라.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
☞요13:17 너희가 이런 일을 알고, 그것들을 행하면 복이 있느니라.
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
☞요13:18 내가 너희 모두에게 말하는 것이 아니니라. 나는 내가 택한 자들을 아노라. 그러나 '나와 함께 빵을 먹는 자가 나를 대적하여 그의 발꿈치를 들었다.'고 한 성경을 이루려는 것이라.
I speak not of you all： I know whom I have chosen： but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
☞요13:19 지금 내가 그 일이 일어나기 전에 너희에게 말하는 것은 그 일이 일어날 때 내가 그인 줄 너희로 믿게 하려 함이니라.
Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.
☞요13:20 진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 내가 보내는 사람을 영접하는 자는 나를 영접하는 것이요, 나를 영접하는 자는 나를 보내신 분을 영접하는 것이라."고 하시니라.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
☞요13:21 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 영 안에서 괴로워하시며 증거하여 말씀하시기를 "진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 너희 가운데 한 사람이 나를 배반하리라."고 하시니
When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
☞요13:22 제자들이 주께서 누구를 말씀하시는가 의아해 하며 서로 쳐다보더라.
Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
☞요13:23 그때 주의 제자 가운데 한 사람, 곧 예수께서 사랑하시던 자가 예수의 품에 기대어 있더라.
Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
☞요13:24 그러므로 시몬 베드로가 그에게 머리를 끄덕여 주께서 말씀하신 자가 누구인가를 묻게 하니라.
Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.
☞요13:25 그러자 그가 예수의 가슴에 의지한 채 주께 말씀드리기를 "주여, 그가 누구니이까?"라고 하니
He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?
☞요13:26 예수께서 대답하시기를 "내가 빵 한 조각을 적셔서 주는 자가 그니라."고 하시고, 빵 한 조각을 적셔서 시몬의 아들 유다 이스카리옷에게 주시니라.
Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
☞요13:27 그 빵 조각을 받은 후에 사탄이 그에게 들어가니라. 그러므로 예수께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 "네가 하는 일을 속히 행하라."고 하시더라.
And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
☞요13:28 그러나 식탁에 앉은 자 중에는 아무도 주께서 그에게 무슨 일로 이 말씀을 하셨는지 아는 사람이 없고
Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
☞요13:29 몇몇 사람은 유다가 돈주머니를 맡았으므로 예수께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 "명절에 필요한 것들을 사라."고 하셨거나 "가난한 사람들에게 무엇을 주라."고 하신 줄로 생각하더라.
For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
☞요13:30 그가 그 빵 조각을 받고 나서 곧 나가니 밤이더라.
He then having received the sop went immediately out： and it was night.
☞요13:31 그가 나간 후에 예수께서 말씀하시기를 "이제 인자가 영광을 받으며 하나님께서도 그 안에서 영광을 받으시는도다.
Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
☞요13:32 하나님께서 인자 안에서 영광을 받으시면 하나님께서도 자신 안에서 인자를 영화롭게 하시리니 그를 즉시 영화롭게 하시리라.
If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
☞요13:33 어린 자녀들아, 아직 잠시 동안은 내가 너희와 함께 있겠노라. 너희가 나를 찾을 것이나 내가 유대인들에게 '내가 가는 곳에는 너희가 올 수 없느니라.'고 말한 것처럼 이제 너희에게도 말하노라.
Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me： and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
☞요13:34 내가 새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 이는 너희가 서로 사랑하라는 것이라. 내가 너희를 사랑한 것같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라.
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
☞요13:35 너희가 서로 사랑하면 이것으로 모든 사람이 너희가 나의 제자인 줄 알리라."고 하시더라.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
☞요13:36 시몬 베드로가 주께 말씀드리기를 "주여, 어디로 가시나이까?" 하니, 예수께서 그에게 대답하시기를 "내가 가는 곳에 네가 지금은 따라올 수 없으나 이 후에는 따라오리라." 하시니
Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.
☞요13:37 베드로가 주께 말씀드리기를 "주여, 어찌하여 내가 지금 주를 따라갈 수 없나이까? 내가 주님을 위하여 나의 생명을 내어 놓겠나이다."라고 하더라.
Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
☞요13:38 예수께서 그에게 대답하시기를 "네가 나를 위하여 네 생명을 내어 놓겠느냐? 진실로 진실로 내가 네게 말하노니, 닭이 울기 전에 네가 나를 세 번 부인하리라."고 하시더라.
Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
