☞요17:1 예수께서 이러한 말씀들을 하시고 눈을 들어 하늘을 보시며 말씀하시기를 "아버지시여, 때가 왔나이다. 아버지의 아들을 영화롭게 하셔서 아들로 아버지를 영화롭게 하게 하옵소서.
These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee：
☞요17:2 아버지께서 아들에게 모든 육체 위에 권세를 주신 것은 아들에게 주신 모든 사람에게 영생을 주게 하시려 함이니이다.
As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
☞요17:3 영생은 이것이니, 곧 사람들이 유일하시고 참 하나님이신 아버지와 아버지께서 보내신 예수 그리스도를 아는 것이옵니다.
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
☞요17:4 내가 땅에서 아버지를 영화롭게 하였으며 아버지께서 내게 하라고 주신 그 일을 완성하였나이다.
I have glorified thee on the earth： I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
☞요17:5 이제 아버지시여, 세상이 있기 전에 내가 아버지와 함께 갖고 있던 그 영광으로 친히 나를 영화롭게 하여 주옵소서.
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
☞요17:6 나는 아버지께서 이 세상으로부터 나에게 주신 그 사람들에게 아버지의 이름을 나타내 보였나이다. 그들은 아버지의 사람들이었는데 아버지께서 나에게 주셨으며 그들은 아버지의 말씀을 지켰나이다.
I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world： thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
☞요17:7 이제 그들은 아버지께서 내게 주신 모든 것들이 다 아버지께로부터 온 것임을 알았나이다.
Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
☞요17:8 아버지께서 내게 주신 그 말씀들을 그들에게 전하였으니, 그들은 그 말씀들을 영접하여 내가 아버지께로부터 온 것을 분명히 알았으며, 또 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 믿었나이다.
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
☞요17:9 내가 그들을 위하여 기도하나이다. 나는 세상을 위하여는 기도하지 아니하고 다만 아버지께서 내게 주신 자들을 위하여 기도하나이다. 이는 그들이 아버지의 사람들이기 때문이니이다.
I pray for them： I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
☞요17:10 나의 모든 것은 아버지의 것이오며 또 아버지의 것은 나의 것이옵니다. 그리하여 내가 그들 안에서 영화롭게 되었나이다.
And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
☞요17:11 이제 나는 더이상 세상에 있지 아니하나 이들은 세상에 있나이다. 그리고 나는 아버지께로 가나이다. 거룩하신 아버지시여, 아버지께서 내게 주신 그들을 아버지의 이름으로 지켜주셔서 그들도 우리처럼 하나가 되게 하옵소서.
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
☞요17:12 내가 그들과 함께 세상에 있었을 때는 아버지의 이름으로 그들을 지켰나이다. 아버지께서 내게 주신 그들을 내가 지키었고 멸망의 아들 외에는 그들 중 아무도 잃어버리지 아니하였으니 이로써 성경이 이루어지게 한 것이옵니다.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name： those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
☞요17:13 이제 내가 아버지께로 가나이다. 내가 세상에서 이런 것들을 말함은 그들로 나의 기쁨을 그들 안에서 충만하게 하려 함이니이다.
And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
☞요17:14 내가 그들에게 아버지의 말씀을 주었더니 세상이 그들을 미워하였나이다. 이는 내가 세상에 속하지 아니한 것같이 그들도 세상에 속하지 아니하기 때문이옵니다.
I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
☞요17:15 내가 기도하옵는 것은 아버지께서 그들을 세상에서 데려가시라는 것이 아니옵고 그들을 악에서 보호해 주시라는 것이옵니다.
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
☞요17:16 내가 세상에 속하지 아니한 것같이 그들도 세상에 속하지 않사옵니다.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
☞요17:17 아버지의 진리로 그들을 거룩하게 하여 주옵소서. 아버지의 말씀은 진리니이다.
Sanctify them through thy truth： thy word is truth.
☞요17:18 아버지께서 나를 세상에 보내신 것같이 나도 그들을 세상에 보냈사옵니다.
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
☞요17:19 또 그들을 위하여 나는 나 자신을 거룩하게 하오니 이는 그들도 진리를 통해 거룩하게 되기 위함이니이다.
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
☞요17:20 그러나 나는 이들만을 위하여 기도하는 것이 아니옵고 그들의 말을 통하여 나를 믿을 사람들도 위한 것이옵니다.
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
☞요17:21 이는 그들 모두가 하나되게 함이오니, 아버지시여, 아버지께서 내 안에 계시고 내가 아버지 안에 있는 것같이 그들도 우리 안에서 하나가 되게 하여서 세상으로 하여금 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 믿게 하여 주옵소서.
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us： that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
☞요17:22 또 아버지께서 내게 주신 그 영광을 내가 그들에게 주었사옵니다. 그리하여 우리가 하나인 것같이 그들도 하나가 되게 하려는 것이옵니다.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one：
☞요17:23 내가 그들 안에 또 아버지께서 내 안에 계심은 그들을 하나로 온전하게 하셔서 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것과 나를 사랑하신 것처럼 그들을 사랑하신 것을 세상으로 알게 하려 함이니이다.
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
☞요17:24 아버지시여, 내가 바라오니 아버지께서 내게 주신 그들도 내가 있는 곳에 나와 함께 있게 하셔서 그들로 아버지께서 내게 주신 나의 영광을 보게 하소서. 이는 아버지께서 세상의 기초가 놓이기 전부터 나를 사랑하셨기 때문이옵니다.
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me： for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
☞요17:25 오 의로우신 아버지시여, 세상은 아버지를 몰랐지만 나는 아버지를 알았으며, 또 이들은 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 알았사옵니다.
O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee： but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
☞요17:26 또한 나는 그들에게 아버지의 이름을 밝히 알게 하였으며, 또 밝히 알게 하리니 이는 아버지께서 나를 사랑하신 그 사랑이 그들 안에 있게 하고 또 내가 그들 안에 있게 하려 함이니이다."고 하시더라.
And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it： that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
