| ☞마2:1 | 이제 헤롯왕 때에 예수께서 유대의 베들레헴에서 태어나셨으니, 보라, 동방으로부터 현자들이 예루살렘에 와서 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, | |||
| ☞마2:2 | 말하기를 "유대인의 왕으로 태어나신 분이 어디 계신가? 우리가 동방에서 그의 별을 보고 그 분께 경배드리러 왔노라."고 하니라. Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. | |||
| ☞마2:3 | 헤롯왕이 이 말을 듣고 온 예루살렘과 더불어 불안해 하며 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. | |||
| ☞마2:4 | 백성의 모든 대제사장들과 서기관들을 함께 모으고 그리스도가 어디서 태어나겠느냐고 물으니 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. | |||
| ☞마2:5 | 그들이 말하기를 "유대의 베들레헴이오니, 이는 선지자에 의하여 이렇게 기록된 바 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea： for thus it is written by the prophet, | |||
| ☞마2:6 | '너 유대 땅 베들레헴은 유다의 통치자들 가운데서 가장 작지 아니하도다. 이는 너에게서 한 다스리는 자가 나와 내 백성 이스라엘을 통치할 것임이라.'고 하였음이니이다." 하니라. And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda： for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. | |||
| ☞마2:7 | 그때 헤롯이 그 현자들을 가만히 불러서 그 별이 나타난 시각을 자세히 묻고 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. | |||
| ☞마2:8 | 그들을 베들레헴에 보내면서 말하기를 "너희는 가서 그 어린 아이에 관하여 자세히 알아보고, 찾거든 내게 알려 주어 나도 가서 그에게 경배하게 하라."고 하더라. And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. | |||
| ☞마2:9 | 그들이 왕의 말을 듣고 길을 떠났는데, 보라, 동방에서 보았던 그 별이 그들을 앞서 가다가 어린 아이 있는 곳 위에 와서 멈춘지라. When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. | |||
| ☞마2:10 | 그들이 그 별을 보고 심히 기뻐하더라. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. | |||
| ☞마2:11 | 그들이 그 집에 들어가서 모친 마리아와 함께 있는 어린 아이를 보고 엎드려 그에게 경배하고 보물함을 열어 황금과 유향과 몰약을 예물로 드리니라. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him： and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh. | |||
| ☞마2:12 | 그들은 꿈에 헤롯에게 돌아가지 말라는 하나님의 경고를 받고 다른 길로 고국에 돌아가니라. And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. | |||
| ☞마2:13 | 그들이 떠난 후, 보라, 주의 천사가 꿈에 요셉에게 나타나 말하기를 "헤롯이 그 어린 아이를 찾아서 죽이려고 하니 일어나 어린 아이와 그의 모친을 데리고 이집트로 피하여 내가 네게 말할 때까지 거기 있으라."고 하니 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word： for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. | |||
| ☞마2:14 | 그가 일어나 밤에 어린 아이와 그의 모친을 데리고 이집트로 떠나가서 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt： | |||
| ☞마2:15 | 헤롯이 죽을 때까지 그 곳에 있었으니 이는 선지자가 주에 관하여 말씀하신 바 "내가 이집트에서 내 아들을 불렀다." 하신 그 말씀이 이루어지게 하심이라. And was there until the death of Herod： that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. | |||
| ☞마2:16 | 그 후 헤롯이 현자들에게 속은 줄 알자 심히 분노하여 군사를 보내어 그가 현자들에게 자세히 물어본 그 때를 기준하여 베들레헴과 그 온 지경에 사는 모든 사내 아이를 두 살부터 그 아래로 다 죽이니라. Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. | |||
| ☞마2:17 | 이는 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 말씀하신 것이 이루어졌음이니, 말씀하시기를 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, | |||
| ☞마2:18 | "라마에서 슬퍼하고 울며 크게 애곡하는 소리가 들렸으니, 라헬이 자기 자식들을 위하여 우는 것이요, 그녀가 자식들이 없으므로 위로받기를 원치 아니하였도다." 함이라. In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not. | |||
| ☞마2:19 | 헤롯이 죽으니, 보라, 주의 천사가 이집트에서 요셉에게 꿈에 나타나 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, | |||
| ☞마2:20 | 말하기를 "일어나 그 어린 아이와 그의 모친을 데리고 이스라엘 땅으로 가라. 어린 아이의 생명을 찾던 자들이 죽었느니라."고 하니 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel： for they are dead which sought the young child's life. | |||
| ☞마2:21 | 그가 일어나 어린 아이와 아이의 모친을 데리고 이스라엘 땅으로 들어오니라. And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. | |||
| ☞마2:22 | 그러나 아켈라오가 그의 부친 헤롯을 대신하여 유대를 통치한다 함을 듣고 거기로 가기를 두려워하더니, 꿈에 하나님의 경고를 받고 갈릴리 지방으로 떠나 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither： notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee： | |||
| ☞마2:23 | 나사렛이라는 성읍에 와서 사니, 이는 선지자들을 통하여 "그가 나사렛 사람으로 불리리라."고 말씀하신 것을 이루려 함이라. And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth： that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene. | |||
