| ☞수4:1 | 모든 백성이 완전히 요단을 건넜을 때 주께서 여호수아에게 일러 말씀하시기를 And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying, | |||
| ☞수4:2 | "각 지파에서 한 명씩 백성 중에서 열두 사람을 택하고 Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man, | |||
| ☞수4:3 | 너희는 그들에게 명하여 말하기를 '요단 한 가운데 제사장들의 발이 견고하게 섰던 곳에서 돌 열둘을 취하여 그 돌들을 옮겨 너희가 오늘밤 유숙할 곳에 그 돌들을 두라.' 하라." 하시니라. And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night. | |||
| ☞수4:4 | 여호수아는 그가 이스라엘 자손 중 각 지파에서 한 사람씩 예비해 놓은 열두 사람을 불러서 Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man： | |||
| ☞수4:5 | 그들에게 말하기를 "요단 한가운데 있는 주 너희 하나님의 궤 앞에 가서 이스라엘 자손의 지파 수대로 너희 각 사람은 돌 한 개씩을 자기 어깨 위에 메라. And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take you up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel： | |||
| ☞수4:6 | 이것이 너희 가운데 한 표적이 되리니 훗날 너희 자손이 그들의 아비들에게 물어 말하기를 '이 돌들이 무슨 뜻이니이까?' 하거든 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones? | |||
| ☞수4:7 | 너희는 그들에게 대답할지니 '요단 물이 주의 언약궤 앞에서 끊어졌나니 요단을 건널 때에 요단 물이 끊어졌도다. 이 돌들은 이스라엘의 자손에게 영원히 기념이 되리라.' 하라." 하더라. Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off： and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever. | |||
| ☞수4:8 | 이스라엘의 자손이 여호수아가 명한 대로 행하였으니 주께서 여호수아에게 이르신 그대로, 이스라엘 자손의 지파 수대로 요단 한가운데서 돌 열둘을 취하여 그들이 유숙하는 곳으로 메어다가 내려놓았더라. And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there. | |||
| ☞수4:9 | 여호수아가 요단 한가운데에 돌 열둘을 세웠으니 언약궤를 멘 제사장들의 발이 선 그 자리라. 그 돌들이 오늘까지도 거기 있더라. And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood： and they are there unto this day. | |||
| ☞수4:10 | 궤를 멘 제사장들은, 주께서 여호수아에게 명하사 모세가 여호수아에게 명한 모든 것에 따라 백성에게 말하게 하신 모든 것이 끝날 때까지 요단 한가운데 서 있었고, 백성은 서둘러 건넜더라. For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua： and the people hasted and passed over. | |||
| ☞수4:11 | 모든 백성이 완전히 건넜고 주의 궤와 제사장들도 백성의 면전에서 건넜더라. And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people. | |||
| ☞수4:12 | 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 반 지파는 모세가 그들에게 명한 대로 이스라엘의 자손 앞에 무장을 하고 건넜으며 And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them： | |||
| ☞수4:13 | 약 사만 명이 싸울 준비를 하고 주 앞에서 전장으로 건너가서 여리코 평원에 이르니라. About forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho. | |||
| ☞수4:14 | 그 날에 주께서 모든 이스라엘 목전에서 여호수아를 높이시니 백성이 여호수아를 그의 평생 동안 두려워하기를 그들이 모세를 두려워한 것처럼 하였더라. On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life. | |||
| ☞수4:15 | 주께서 여호수아에게 일러 말씀하시기를 And the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying, | |||
| ☞수4:16 | "증거궤를 메는 제사장들에게 명하여 그들로 요단에서 나오게 하라." 하신지라 Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan. | |||
| ☞수4:17 | 이에 여호수아가 제사장들에게 명하여 말하기를 "요단에서 나오라." 하더라. Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye up out of Jordan. | |||
| ☞수4:18 | 주의 언약궤를 멘 제사장들이 요단 한가운데서 나오고 제사장들의 발바닥이 마른 땅을 밟자 요단 물이 제자리로 돌아와서 전처럼 강둑을 넘쳐 흐르더라. And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before. | |||
| ☞수4:19 | 백성이 첫달 십일에 요단에서 나와 여리코의 동편 경계에 있는 길갈에 진을 쳤더라. And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho. | |||
| ☞수4:20 | 그들이 요단에서 취한 그 돌 열둘을 여호수아가 길갈에 세우고 And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal. | |||
| ☞수4:21 | 이스라엘 자손에게 일러 말하기를 "훗날 너희 자손이 그들의 아비들에게 물어 말하기를 '이 돌들이 무슨 뜻이니이까?' 하거든 And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones? | |||
| ☞수4:22 | 너희는 너희 자손들로 알게 할지니 '이스라엘이 이 요단을 마른 땅 위로 건너왔다.' 하라. Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land. | |||
| ☞수4:23 | 주 너희 하나님께서 너희 앞에서 너희가 건널 때까지 요단 물을 마르게 하셨으니, 이것은 주 너희 하나님께서 우리 앞에서 우리가 건널 때까지 홍해를 마르게 하셨던 것처럼 하신 것이라. For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over： | |||
| ☞수4:24 | 이는 땅의 모든 백성으로 주의 손이 강력하심을 알게 하려는 것이며 너희로 주 너희 하나님을 영원히 두려워하게 하려 함이라." 하더라. That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty： that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever. | |||
