| ☞수20:1 | 또 주께서 여호수아에게 일러 말씀하시기를 The LORD also spake unto Joshua, saying, | |||
| ☞수20:2 | "이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 말하기를 내가 모세의 손을 빌어 너희에게 말한 도피성읍들을 너희를 위하여 지정하여 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you cities of refuge, whereof I spake unto you by the hand of Moses： | |||
| ☞수20:3 | 부지불식간에 사람을 죽인 살인자를 그곳으로 도피하게 하라. 그곳들이 피의 보복자로부터 너희의 피난처가 되리라. That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may flee thither： and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood. | |||
| ☞수20:4 | 그 성읍들 중에 하나로 도피하는 자는 그 성읍의 문 입구에 서서 그 성읍의 장로들의 귀에 자기의 주장을 고할 것이요, 그들은 그를 성읍으로 데려와 그에게 한 곳을 주어 그로 그들 가운데 거하게 하라. And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them. | |||
| ☞수20:5 | 만일 피의 보복자가 그를 추적한다 해도 그들은 그 살인자를 그의 손에 넘겨주지 말지니, 이는 그 살인자가 자기 이웃을 불식간에 쳤으며 사전에 그를 미워하지 아니하였음이라. And if the avenger of blood pursue after him, then they shall not deliver the slayer up into his hand; because he smote his neighbour unwittingly, and hated him not beforetime. | |||
| ☞수20:6 | 그 살인자가 그 성읍에서 살 것이니 그가 회중 앞에 서서 재판을 받기까지 살 것이며, 그 당시의 대제사장이 죽기까지 살 것이라. 그 후에 그 살인자는 돌아와 자기 고장과 자기 집으로 오리니 그가 도피하여 나왔던 성읍으로 돌아가는 것이라." 하시니라. And he shall dwell in that city, until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days： then shall the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he fled. | |||
| ☞수20:7 | 사람들이 납탈리의 산지의 갈리리에 있는 케데스와 에프라임 산지의 세켐과 유다 산지의 헤브론인 키럇아르바를 지정하였더라. And they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim, and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah. | |||
| ☞수20:8 | 또 여리코 동편 옆, 요단 저편, 르우벤 지파의 평지 위의 광야에 있는 베셀과 갓 지파 중에서 길르앗에 있는 라못과 므낫세 지파 중에서 바산에 있는 골란을 정하였더라. And on the other side Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh. | |||
| ☞수20:9 | 이것들은 이스라엘의 모든 자손과 그들 가운데 거하는 타국인을 위하여 지정한 성읍들이니, 부지중에 사람을 죽인 사람은 누구든지 그곳으로 도피하여 피의 보복자의 손에 죽지 않게 하기 위함이니 그가 회중 앞에 설 때까지라. These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation. | |||
