☞막5:1 그 후 그들은 바다 건너편 가다레노 지방에 이르렀더라.
And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
☞막5:2 주께서 배에서 내리시자, 곧 더러운 영을 지닌 어떤 사람이 무덤 사이에서 나와 주를 만나더라.
And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
☞막5:3 그는 무덤 사이에 거처를 둔 자인데 아무도 그를 묶어둘 수가 없고, 심지어 쇠사슬로도 묶을 수가 없더라.
Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains：
☞막5:4 그가 여러 번 족쇄와 쇠사슬로 묶였었으나, 쇠사슬을 잡아 끊고 또 족쇄를 산산이 부수어 아무도 그를 다루지 못하더라.
Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces： neither could any man tame him.
☞막5:5 또 밤낮 산에서나 무덤에서 늘 울부짖으며 돌로 자기 몸을 상처내고 있더라.
And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
☞막5:6 그가 멀리서 예수를 보고 달려와 경배하고
But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
☞막5:7 큰 음성으로 소리지르며 말씀드리기를 "지극히 높으신 하나님의 아들 예수시여, 내가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까? 내가 하나님을 두고 당신께 간청하오니 나를 괴롭히지 마소서."라고 하니
And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
☞막5:8 이는 주께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 "더러운 영아, 그 사람에게서 나오라."고 하셨기 때문이라.
For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
☞막5:9 주께서 그에게 묻기를 "네 이름이 무엇이냐?"고 하시니, 그가 대답하여 말하기를 "내 이름은 군단이오니, 이는 우리가 많기 때문이니이다."라고 하더라.
And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion： for we are many.
☞막5:10 또 그가 주께 간절히 청하기를 자기들을 이 지방에서 내보내지 말아 달라고 하더라.
And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
☞막5:11 그때 저쪽 산 근처에서 큰 돼지떼가 먹고 있었는데
Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
☞막5:12 모든 마귀들이 주께 간구하여 말하기를 "우리를 돼지에게로 보내 주소서. 그러면 우리가 그들에게로 들어가겠나이다."라고 하더라.
And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
☞막5:13 예수께서 즉시 그들에게 허락하시니, 그 더러운 영들이 나와서 돼지들에게 들어가더라. 그러자 그 돼지떼가 산비탈을 급히 내리달려 바다로 들어가서, (그 수는 약 이천 마리나 되더라.) 바다에 빠져 죽더라.
And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine： and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
☞막5:14 그러자 그 돼지들을 치던 사람들이 달아나서 그 성읍과 촌락에 그 일을 전하니 사람들이 무슨 일이 일어났는지 보려고 나오더라.
And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
☞막5:15 그들이 예수께 와서 마귀에게 사로잡힌 사람, 즉 그 군단을 지녔던 자가 앉아 있고, 옷을 입고 있으며, 또 정신이 온전한 것을 보고 두려워 하더라.
And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind： and they were afraid.
☞막5:16 그때에 그 광경을 목격한 사람들이 마귀에게 사로잡힌 사람에게 어떻게 그 일이 일어났는가와 또한 그 돼지 떼에 관해 사람들에게 말하니
And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
☞막5:17 그들이 주께 그 지방에서 떠나 달라고 간구하기 시작하더라.
And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
☞막5:18 그리하여 주께서 배에 오르시니 마귀에게 사로잡혔던 사람이 주와 함께 있기를 간구하더라.
And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
☞막5:19 그러나 예수께서 허락지 아니하시고, 그에게 말씀하시기를 "집에 가서 네 친구들에게 주께서 너를 위하여 얼마나 큰 일들을 행하셨으며, 너를 얼마나 가엾게 여기셨는가를 말하라."고 하시니라.
Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
☞막5:20 그가 떠나 예수께서 자기를 위하여 얼마나 큰 일들을 행하셨는가를 데카폴리에서 전파하니 모든 사람이 놀라니라.
And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him： and all men did marvel.
☞막5:21 예수께서 배로 건너편으로 다시 건너가시니 큰 무리가 주께로 모이더라. 그러나 주께서는 바닷가에 계시더라.
And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him： and he was nigh unto the sea.
☞막5:22 그런데, 보라, 회당장들 중의 한 사람인 야이로라고 하는 사람이 와서 주를 보고 그의 발 앞에 엎드리어
And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
☞막5:23 간절히 청하여 말씀드리기를 "내 어린 딸이 죽어가고 있나이다. 간구하오니 오셔서 그 아이에게 안수하시어, 그 아이가 치유받고 살아나게 하소서."라고 하더라.
And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death： I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
☞막5:24 예수께서 그와 함께 가시니, 큰 무리가 주를 따라가며 밀치더라.
And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
☞막5:25 십이 년 동안 유출병을 앓고 있는 어떤 여인이 있었는데
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
☞막5:26 여러 의사에게서 많은 고통을 받았고, 또 가지고 있던 것도 모두 허비하였지만, 조금도 나아지지 아니하고 오히려 병세만 악화된지라
And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
☞막5:27 그 여인이 예수에 관하여 듣고, 무리 속에 들어와 뒤에서 주의 옷을 만졌으니
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
☞막5:28 이는 여인이 말하기를 '만일 내가 그 분의 옷만 만져도 낫게 되리라.'고 함이라.
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
☞막5:29 그러자 즉시 피의 유출이 마르고 자기가 그 병고에서 나은 것을 몸으로 느끼더라.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
☞막5:30 그때 예수께서 자기에게서 능력이 나간 것을 즉시 아시고, 무리 속에서 돌아보시며 말씀하시기를 "누가 나의 옷을 만졌느냐?"고 하시니
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
☞막5:31 제자들이 주께 말씀드리기를 "주께서는 무리가 주를 밀치는 것을 보시면서 '누가 나를 만졌느냐?'고 말씀하시나이까?"라고 하니라.
And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
☞막5:32 주께서는 이 일을 행한 여인을 보려고 둘러보시니
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
☞막5:33 그 여인이 자기에게 이루어진 일을 알고 두려워 떨며 와서 주 앞에 엎드리어 모든 사실을 말씀드리니라.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
☞막5:34 그러므로 주께서 그녀에게 말씀하시기를 "딸아, 네 믿음이 너를 낫게 하였도다. 평안히 가라. 그리고 네 병고로부터 온전해져라."고 하시더라.
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
☞막5:35 아직 말씀하고 계실 때 회당장의 집에서 사람들이 와서 말하기를 "당신의 딸이 죽었는데 어찌하여 선생님을 더 괴롭히시나이까?"라고 하니
While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead： why troublest thou the Master any further?
☞막5:36 예수께서 그들이 한 말을 듣자 곧 회당장에게 말씀하시기를 "두려워 말고 믿기만 하라."고 하시니라.
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
☞막5:37 주께서 베드로와 야고보와 야고보의 형제 요한 외에는 자기를 따라오는 것을 허락지 아니하시더라.
And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
☞막5:38 주께서 회당장의 집에 오시어 사람들이 울고 크게 통곡하는 소란함을 보시고
And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
☞막5:39 들어가셔서 그들에게 말씀하시기를 "어찌하여 소란을 피우며 울고 있느냐? 그 소녀는 죽은 것이 아니라 자고 있느니라."고 하시니
And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
☞막5:40 그들이 주를 비웃더라. 주께서 그들을 모두 밖으로 내보내신 후 그 소녀의 아버지와 어머니와 자기와 동행한 사람들만을 데리고 그 소녀가 누워 있는 곳으로 들어가시어
And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
☞막5:41 그 소녀의 손을 잡으시고 "탈리다쿠미"라고 말씀하시니, 이를 해석하면 "소녀야, 내가 너에게 말하노니 일어나라."고 하심이라.
And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
☞막5:42 그 소녀가 즉시 일어나 걸으니 이는 그 소녀가 열두 살임이더라. 그러자 사람들이 매우 놀라더라.
And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
☞막5:43 주께서 이 일을 아무도 모르게 하라고 그들에게 엄히 당부하시고 "소녀에게 먹을 것을 주라."고 명하시니라.
And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
