| ☞전9:1 | 이 모든 것을 내가 내 마음에 생각하고 이 모든 것을 선포하였나니, 곧 의인과 현명한 사람과 그들의 일이 하나님의 손 안에 있다는 것이라. 사람은 아무도 그들 앞에 있는 모든 것으로 인해 사랑도 미움도 알지 못하느니라. For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God： no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them. | |||
| ☞전9:2 | 모든 것이 모든 사람에게 똑같이 임하나니 의인과 악인에게며, 선하고 깨끗한 자와 불결한 자에게며, 희생제를 드리는 자와 희생제를 드리지 않는 자에게 한 가지 일이 있으니, 선인과 죄인이 마찬가지이며 맹세하는 자와 맹세하기를 두려워하는 자가 마찬가지라. All things come alike to all： there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not： as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath. | |||
| ☞전9:3 | 해 아래서 행해지는 모든 것들 가운데 이것이 한 가지 악이니, 곧 모든 사람에게 한 가지 일이 있다는 것이며, 또 정녕, 사람들의 아들들의 마음이 악으로 가득 찼으며 그들이 살아 있는 동안에 미친 마음을 품다가 후에는 죽은 자에게로 간다는 것이라. This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all： yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead. | |||
| ☞전9:4 | 살아 있는 모든 자에게 참여하는 자에게는 소망이 있나니, 이는 살아 있는 개가 죽은 사자보다 나음이라. For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope： for a living dog is better than a dead lion. | |||
| ☞전9:5 | 살아 있는 자들은 그들이 죽을 것을 알지만 죽은 자는 아무것도 모르며 그들은 더 이상 상도 받지 못하나니, 이는 그들에 대한 기억이 잊혀짐이라. For the living know that they shall die： but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. | |||
| ☞전9:6 | 뿐만 아니라 그들의 사랑과 그들의 증오와 그들의 시기도 이제 사라지고 해 아래서 행해지는 어떤 것에서 더이상의 몫을 영원히 얻지 못하느니라. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. | |||
| ☞전9:7 | 너는 가서 기쁨으로 네 빵을 먹고 즐거운 마음으로 네 포도주를 마시라. 이는 하나님께서 지금 너의 일을 받으심이라. Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. | |||
| ☞전9:8 | 네 의복을 항상 희게 하고 네 머리에 향기름이 부족하지 않게 하라. Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment. | |||
| ☞전9:9 | 네 헛된 평생의 모든 날, 그 분이 해 아래서 네게 주신 헛된 모든 날에 네가 사랑하는 아내와 즐겁게 살지어다. 이는 이 생애에서 네가 수고로 해 아래서 얻은 네 몫이니라. Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity： for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun. | |||
| ☞전9:10 | 네 손이 찾은 할 일은 무엇이든 힘을 다하여 할지어다. 이는 네가 가는 음부에는 일도 없고 계획도 없고 지식도 없고 지혜도 없음이라. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. | |||
| ☞전9:11 | 내가 돌이켜 해 아래서 보니 경주가 빠른 자에게 주어지는 것이 아니고, 전쟁이 힘센 자에게 오는 것도 아니며, 먹을 것이 현명한 자에게 오는 것도 아니고, 재물이 명철한 자에게 오는 것도 아니며, 재주있는 자에게 은총이 주어지는 것도 아니니, 때와 기회가 그들 모두에게 일어나는도다. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. | |||
| ☞전9:12 | 사람도 자기의 때를 모르나니, 마치 물고기들이 재앙의 그물에 걸리고 새들이 덫에 잡힘과 같이 사람들의 아들들도 재앙이 갑자기 닥치면 재앙의 때에 덫에 걸리는도다. For man also knoweth not his time： as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. | |||
| ☞전9:13 | 내가 또한 해 아래서 이 지혜를 보았노니 내게는 대단한 것처럼 보였도다. This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me： | |||
| ☞전9:14 | 작은 성읍이 있어 그 안에는 사람이 별로 없었는데, 한 큰 왕이 그 성읍을 향해 와서 포위하고 그것을 향해 보루를 쌓았도다. There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it： | |||
| ☞전9:15 | 그런데 그 성읍에는 한 가난한 현명한 사람이 있어 그가 그의 지혜로 그 성읍을 구하였으나, 아무도 그 가난한 사람을 기억하는 자가 없었도다. Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. | |||
| ☞전9:16 | 그러므로 내가 말하기를 "지혜가 힘보다 낫지만 가난한 자의 지혜는 멸시를 받고 그의 말들은 경청되지 않는도다." 하였노라. Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength： nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. | |||
| ☞전9:17 | 조용한 가운데 들리는 현명한 사람들의 말이 어리석은 자들 가운데서 다스리는 사람의 외침보다 나으니라. The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools. | |||
| ☞전9:18 | 지혜가 전쟁의 무기들보다 나으나 한 명의 죄인이 많은 선을 파괴시키느니라. Wisdom is better than weapons of war： but one sinner destroyeth much good. | |||
