| ☞전8:1 | 누가 그 현명한 사람과 같으며 누가 사물의 해석을 아는가? 인간의 지혜는 그의 얼굴을 빛내 주나니 그의 얼굴의 무모함이 바뀌리라. Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed. | |||
| ☞전8:2 | 내가 네게 권고하노니 왕의 계명을 지키고, 하나님께 서약한 것을 지키라. I counsel thee to keep the king's commandment, and that in regard of the oath of God. | |||
| ☞전8:3 | 그의 목전에서 조급하게 물러가지 말라. 악한 것을 지지하지 말라. 그는 자기를 기쁘게 하는 것은 무엇이나 행하느니라. Be not hasty to go out of his sight： stand not in an evil thing; for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him. | |||
| ☞전8:4 | 왕의 말이 있는 곳에는 권위가 있나니, 누가 그에게 말하기를 "당신은 무엇을 하나이까?"라고 할 수 있느냐? Where the word of a king is, there is power： and who may say unto him, What doest thou? | |||
| ☞전8:5 | 계명을 지키는 자는 누구나 악한 것을 생각지 않으리니 현명한 사람의 마음은 때와 판단을 분별하느니라. Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing： and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment. | |||
| ☞전8:6 | 모든 목적에 때와 판단이 있으니, 그러므로 사람의 불행이 그에게 크도다. Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him. | |||
| ☞전8:7 | 그는 이루어질 일을 모르나니, 그 일이 일어날 때를 누가 그에게 말해 줄 수 있으랴? For he knoweth not that which shall be： for who can tell him when it shall be? | |||
| ☞전8:8 | 영을 다스리는 능력이 있어 영으로 머무르게 하는 사람이 없고 죽음의 날에 능력을 가진 사람도 없으며, 그 전쟁에는 면제되는 사람도 없고 악에게 넘겨진 자들을 악이 구해 내지도 못하리라. There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death： and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it. | |||
| ☞전8:9 | 내가 이 모든 일을 보고서 해 아래서 행해진 모든 일들에 내 마음을 썼더니, 한 사람이 다른 사람을 지배하므로 자기 자신에게 해가 되는 때가 있으며 All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun： there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt. | |||
| ☞전8:10 | 또 내가 악인들이 장사되는 것을 보았는데, 그들이 거룩한 곳으로부터 왔다가 갔으나 그들은 자기들이 그처럼 행했던 그 도성에서 잊혀졌으니, 이것도 헛되도다. And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done： this is also vanity. | |||
| ☞전8:11 | 악한 일에 대한 징벌이 속히 집행되지 않으므로 사람들의 아들들의 마음이 그들 안에서 악을 행하기로 완전히 정해졌도다. Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. | |||
| ☞전8:12 | 죄인이 일백 번 악을 행하고 그의 날들이 길지라도, 하나님을 두려워하는 자들, 곧 그 분 앞에서 두려워하는 자들이 잘될 것임을 내가 분명히 아노라. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him： | |||
| ☞전8:13 | 그러나 악인은 잘되지 못할 것이며 그의 날들도 길지 못하여 그림자와 같으리니, 이는 그가 하나님 앞에서 두려워하지 않음이라. But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God. | |||
| ☞전8:14 | 세상에서 행해지는 헛된 것이 있나니, 곧 악인의 행위에 따라 당하는 의인들도 있고 또 의인의 행위에 따라 당하는 악인들도 있다는 것이라. 내가 말하노니 이것도 헛되도다. There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just men, unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there be wicked men, to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous： I said that this also is vanity. | |||
| ☞전8:15 | 그리하여 나는 희락을 칭찬하노니, 이는 해 아래서 먹고 마시고 즐거워하는 것보다 더 좋은 것이 사람에게 없음이라. 해 아래서 하나님께서 사람에게 주시는 그의 생애의 날들 동안 그의 수고에서 그것은 사람과 더불어 있어야 하리라. Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry： for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun. | |||
| ☞전8:16 | 내가 내 마음을 써서 지혜를 알고자 하며 세상에서 행해진 일을 보고자 할 때 (자기 눈으로 낮에나 밤에나 잠을 보지 못하는 자도 있도다.) When I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth： (for also there is that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes:) | |||
| ☞전8:17 | 그때 내가 하나님의 모든 일을 보았노니, 해 아래서 행해진 일을 사람이 깨달을 수 없다는 것이라. 이는 비록 사람이 그것을 찾아 내려고 수고할지라도 찾지 못하리니, 정녕 현명한 자가 그것을 안다고 생각할지라도 그는 그것을 찾아낼 수 없을 것이기 때문이라. Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun： because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it. | |||
