| ☞느2:1 | 아탁세르세스왕 제 이십년 니산 월의 일이라. 포도주가 그의 앞에 있어 내가 그 포도주를 들어 왕에게 주었는데, 전에는 내가 그의 앞에서 슬퍼하지 아니하였으므로 And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him： and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence. | |||
| ☞느2:2 | 왕이 내게 말하기를 "네게 병이 없는 줄 아는데, 어찌하여 네 용모가 슬프냐? 이것은 다름이 아니라 마음의 병이라." 하더라. 그러자 내가 심히 무서워하여 Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid, | |||
| ☞느2:3 | 왕에게 말하기를 "왕께서는 영원히 사소서. 그 성읍, 즉 내 조상의 묘들이 있는 곳이 황폐하게 되고 그 성문들이 불에 탔으니, 어찌 내 용모가 슬프지 아니하겠나이까?" 하니 And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever： why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? | |||
| ☞느2:4 | 왕이 내게 말하기를 "네가 무엇을 원하느냐?" 하기에 내가 하늘의 하나님께 기도하고 Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven. | |||
| ☞느2:5 | 왕에게 말하기를 "왕께서 기뻐하시고 왕의 종이 왕의 목전에 은총을 입었다면, 나를 유다, 즉 나의 조상의 묘들이 있는 성읍으로 보내시어 나로 그 성읍을 재건하게 하소서." 하니라. And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it. | |||
| ☞느2:6 | 왕이 내게 말하기를 (왕후도 왕의 곁에 앉아 있었는데) "네 여정이 얼마나 걸리겠느냐? 네가 언제 돌아오겠느냐?" 하며 왕이 나를 보내기를 기뻐하기에, 내가 왕에게 때를 정하여 주었더라. And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time. | |||
| ☞느2:7 | 또 내가 왕에게 말하기를 "왕께서 기뻐하시거든 강 저편 총독들에게 내리시는 칙서를 내게 주시어 그들로 나를 통과하게 하여 유다에 이르게 하시고, Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah; | |||
| ☞느2:8 | 또 왕의 산림 감독 아삽에게 칙서를 주사, 그로 전에 속한 궁의 문들과 성읍의 성벽과 내가 들어갈 집을 위한 들보를 만들 재목을 내게 주게 하소서." 하자 내게 임하신 하나님의 선하신 손을 따라 왕이 내게 허락하였더라. And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me. | |||
| ☞느2:9 | 내가 강 저편 총독들에게 가서 왕의 칙서를 그들에게 전하였더라. 그때 왕이 군대 대장들과 기병들을 나와 함께 보내었는데 Then I came to the governors beyond the river, and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent captains of the army and horsemen with me. | |||
| ☞느2:10 | 호론인 산발랏과 그 부하 암몬인 토비야가 이스라엘 자손의 안녕을 구하려고 한 사람이 왔다는 말을 듣자, 그들이 그 말로 심히 근심하더라. When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel. | |||
| ☞느2:11 | 그리하여 내가 예루살렘에 가서 삼 일을 지내니라. So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days. | |||
| ☞느2:12 | 나와 함께한 몇 사람과 함께 내가 밤에 일어났는데, 하나님께서 예루살렘에서 행하라고 내 마음에 넣어 주신 것을 내가 아무에게도 말하지 아니하였으며, 내가 탄 짐승 외에는 나와 함께한 다른 짐승이 없었더라. And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem： neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon. | |||
| ☞느2:13 | 내가 밤에 골짜기 문까지 나가 용 우물 앞에서 똥 문까지 예루살렘 성벽을 보니 허물어져 내렸고 그 성문들은 불에 탔더라. And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire. | |||
| ☞느2:14 | 그때 내가 샘 문으로 나가 왕의 못에 이르렀으나, 거기에는 내가 탄 짐승이 지나갈 자리가 없는지라. Then I went on to the gate of the fountain, and to the king's pool： but there was no place for the beast that was under me to pass. | |||
| ☞느2:15 | 이에 내가 그 밤에 시내를 따라 올라가 성벽을 살펴보고 돌이켜 골짜기 문으로 들어가 돌아왔더라. Then went I up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and entered by the gate of the valley, and so returned. | |||
| ☞느2:16 | 치리자들은 내가 어디를 갔으며 무엇을 했는지 알지 못하였으며 나도 유대인들에게나, 제사장들에게나, 귀족들에게나, 치리자들에게나, 그 일을 했던 남은 자들에게도 아직 그 일을 말하지 아니하였더라. And the rulers knew not whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work. | |||
| ☞느2:17 | 그 후 내가 그들에게 말하기를 "우리가 처한 고난은 너희가 보고 있는 바라. 예루살렘이 황폐하게 되고 그 성문들이 불에 탔으니, 오라, 우리가 예루살렘 성벽을 재건하여 다시는 비난을 받지 말자." 하고 Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire： come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. | |||
| ☞느2:18 | 내게 선하셨던 나의 하나님의 손길을 그들에게 말하고 내게 한 왕의 말도 전하니, 그들이 말하기를 "일어나서 건축하자." 하더라. 그리하여 그들이 이 선한 일을 위하여 힘을 내더라. Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work. | |||
| ☞느2:19 | 그러나 호론인 산발랏과 그 부하 암몬인 토비야와 아라비아인 게셈이 이 말을 듣자 우리를 비웃고 멸시하며 말하기를 "너희가 행하는 이 일이 어찌된 것이냐? 너희가 왕에게 반역하려 하느냐?" 하기에 But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king? | |||
| ☞느2:20 | 내가 그들에게 대답하여 말하기를 "하늘의 하나님께서 우리로 번영하게 하시리라. 그러므로 그 분의 종들인 우리가 일어나 재건하리라. 그러나 너희는 예루살렘에서 아무런 분깃도 없고 권리도 없으며 기록도 없도다." 하였더라. Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build： but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem. | |||
