☞고후5:1 우리가 아는 것은 만일 땅에 있는 우리의 장막 집이 무너지면 하나님께서 지으신 큰 집, 즉 손으로 짓지 아니한 하늘들에 있는 영원한 집이 있다는 것이라.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
☞고후5:2 정녕 우리가 여기에서 신음하며 하늘에서 오는 우리의 집으로 옷입게 되기를 간절히 바라나
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven：
☞고후5:3 만일 우리가 옷입고 있다면 벗은 채로 발견되지 아니하리라.
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
☞고후5:4 이 장막 집에 있는 우리가 짐을 지고 신음하는 것은 벗으려는 것이 아니라 옷입혀 지고자 함이니, 이는 죽을 것이 생명에 의해서 삼켜지는 것이라.
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened： not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
☞고후5:5 이제 이것을 우리에게 이루신 분은 하나님이시며, 그 분께서는 또한 우리에게 성령의 보증을 주셨느니라.
Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
☞고후5:6 그러므로 우리는 항상 자신에 차 있어 몸에 있는 집에 거할 때 우리가 주로부터 멀리 떨어져 있다는 것을 아나니
Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord：
☞고후5:7 (이는 우리가 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 하지 아니함이라.)
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
☞고후5:8 우리가 자신에 차 있고 정녕 몸에서 떠나 주와 함께 있는 것이 오히려 더 좋은 것이라.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
☞고후5:9 이 때문에 우리가 애쓰는 것은 거하든지 떠나 있든지 그 분을 기쁘시게 해 드리기를 바라는 것이라.
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
☞고후5:10 이는 우리 모두가 반드시 그리스도의 심판석 앞에 나아가서, 선이든지 악이든지, 각자가 자기 몸으로 행한 것들을 받을 것이기 때문이라.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
☞고후5:11 그러므로 우리가 주의 두려우심을 알기 때문에 사람들에게 권유하노라. 그러나 우리가 하나님께 나타내어졌으며 나는 또 너희 양심에도 나타내어졌기를 바라노라.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
☞고후5:12 우리가 우리 자신을 너희에게 다시 추천하는 것이 아니요 우리를 대신하여 자랑할 기회를 너희에게 주노니, 마음으로 아니하고 외모로 자랑하는 사람들에게 무엇인가를 대답하게 하려는 것이라.
For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
☞고후5:13 만일 우리가 미쳤어도 하나님을 위한 것이요 정신이 온전하여도 너희를 위한 것이라.
For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God： or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
☞고후5:14 그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하시느니라. 이는 한 사람이 모든 사람을 위하여 죽으면 모든 사람이 죽은 것이라고 우리가 판단하기 때문이라.
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead：
☞고후5:15 그가 모든 사람을 위하여 죽으신 것은 산 자들이 이제부터는 더이상 자신들을 위하여 살지 않고 자기들을 위하여 죽었다가 다시 살아나신 그 분을 위하여 살게 하려는 것이라.
And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
☞고후5:16 그러므로 우리가 이제부터는 아무도 육신을 따라 알지 아니하노라. 비록 우리가 육신을 따라 그리스도를 알았다 해도 이제는 더이상 그 분을 그렇게 알지 아니하노라.
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh： yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
☞고후5:17 그러므로 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라. 옛 것들은 지나갔으니, 보라, 모든 것이 새롭게 되었도다.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature： old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
☞고후5:18 모든 것이 하나님께로부터 났으며 그 분께서는 예수 그리스도를 통하여 스스로 우리와 화해하셨고 화해의 직분을 우리에게 주셨으니
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
☞고후5:19 즉 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계셔서 세상을 자신과 화해하게 하시며 그들의 죄과를 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 우리에게 화해의 말씀을 맡겨 주신 것이라.
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
☞고후5:20 그러므로 이제 우리는 그리스도를 대신한 대사들로서 하나님께서 우리를 통하여 너희를 권면하신 것같이 우리도 그리스도를 대신하여 너희에게 간구하노니, 너희는 하나님과 화해하라.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us： we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
☞고후5:21 하나님께서 죄를 알지도 못하는 그를 우리를 위하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
