☞갈1:1 (사람들로부터도 아니요 사람에 의해서도 아니고 오직 예수 그리스도와 죽은 자들로부터 그 분을 살리신 하나님 아버지에 의하여) 사도된 바울과
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
☞갈1:2 나와 함께 있는 모든 형제는 갈라디아의 교회들에게 편지하노니
And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia：
☞갈1:3 하나님 아버지와 우리 주 예수 그리스도로부터 은혜와 평강이 너희에게 있을지어다.
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
☞갈1:4 주께서는 우리의 죄들로 인하여 자신을 주셨으며 이는 하나님 곧 우리 아버지의 뜻에 따라 이 악한 현 세상에서 우리를 구원하시려 함이라.
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father：
☞갈1:5 그 분께 영광이 영원 무궁토록 있을지어다. 아멘.
To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
☞갈1:6 나는 너희가 그리스도의 은혜 안으로 너희를 부르신 이로부터 그렇게 빨리 떠나 다른 복음을 따르게 됨을 이상히 여기노라.
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel：
☞갈1:7 다른 복음은 없나니, 다만 너희를 교란시키는 어떤 사람들이 있어서 그들이 그리스도의 복음을 변개시키려는 것이라.
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
☞갈1:8 그러나 우리뿐만 아니라 하늘에서 온 천사라도 우리가 너희에게 전한 것 외에 어떤 다른 복음을 전한다면 그는 저주를 받으리라.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
☞갈1:9 우리가 전에도 말한 것같이 지금도 내가 다시 말하노니 누구든지 너희가 받은 것 외에 어떤 다른 복음을 전한다면 그는 저주를 받으리라.
As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
☞갈1:10 내가 이제 사람들에게 호감을 사랴? 아니면 하나님께 사랴? 아니면 내가 사람들을 기쁘게 하려고 하겠느냐? 내가 아직도 사람들을 기쁘게 하려고 한다면 나는 그리스도의 종이 아니니라.
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
☞갈1:11 그러나 형제들아, 내가 너희에게 알게 하노니 내가 전한 복음은 사람을 따른 것이 아니니라.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
☞갈1:12 나는 그것을 사람에게서 받지도 않았고 배우지도 않았으며, 오직 예수 그리스도의 계시를 통하여 된 것이라.
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
☞갈1:13 너희는 내가 유대교에 있었을 때의 내 행실을 들었거니와 나는 하나님의 교회를 몹시 박해하였으며 황폐시켰고
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it：
☞갈1:14 나의 동족 가운데 많은 동년배들보다도 유대교를 믿는 일에 앞서 있었으며, 내 조상들의 전통을 지키는 데 더욱 더 열성을 내었느니라.
And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
☞갈1:15 그러나 나의 어머니의 태로부터 나를 선별하시고 그의 은혜로 나를 부르신 하나님께서
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
☞갈1:16 나로 하여금 이방 가운데 그를 전파하도록 내 안에 그의 아들을 계시하시기를 기뻐하셨을 때에 내가 즉시 혈과 육에 의논하지 아니하고
To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood：
☞갈1:17 또 나보다 먼저 사도가 된 그들을 만나려고 예루살렘으로 올라가지도 아니하고 다만 아라비아로 갔다가 다시 다마스커스로 돌아갔노라.
Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
☞갈1:18 그리고 나서 삼 년 후에 내가 베드로를 보고자 예루살렘으로 올라가서 그와 함께 십오 일 간을 지냈으며
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
☞갈1:19 주의 아우인 야고보 외에는 다른 사도들을 만나 보지 못하였노라.
But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.
☞갈1:20 보라, 이제 내가 하나님 앞에서 너희에게 쓰는 것은 거짓말을 하는 것이 아니니라.
Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
☞갈1:21 그 후에 내가 시리아와 킬리키아 지방으로 갔었느니라.
Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
☞갈1:22 그러나 그리스도 안에 있는 유대의 교회들에게 얼굴로 알려지지 아니하고
And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ：
☞갈1:23 다만 그들이 들었던 것은 "전에 우리를 박해한 그가 한때 파괴시킨 그 믿음을 이제 전파한다."는 것이라.
But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
☞갈1:24 그들이 나로 인하여 하나님께 영광을 돌렸느니라.
And they glorified God in me.
