| ☞갈2:1 | 그리고 나서 십사 년 후에 내가 바나바와 함께 다시 예루살렘에 올라갔는데 디도도 데리고 갔느니라. Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. | |||
| ☞갈2:2 | 내가 계시를 따라 올라가서 이방인들 가운데서 전파한 복음을 그들 앞에 제시하였으되, 유명한 사람들에게 따로 전한 것은 어떻게 하든지 내가 달려가야 할 일과 달려갔던 일들이 헛되지 않게 하려 함이라. And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. | |||
| ☞갈2:3 | 그러나 나와 함께 있던 헬라인 디도까지도 억지로 할례를 받게 하지 아니하였으니 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised： | |||
| ☞갈2:4 | 이는 거짓 형제들이 몰래 들어온 까닭이라. 그들은 우리가 그리스도 예수 안에서 가진 우리의 자유를 엿보려고 가만히 들어와 우리를 노예로 삼고자 함이더라. And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage： | |||
| ☞갈2:5 | 우리가 단 한 시간도 그들에게 복종하지 아니하였던 것은 복음의 진리가 너희와 함께 지속되게 하려는 것이라. To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. | |||
| ☞갈2:6 | 유명하게 보인다는 그 사람들 가운데 (그들이 전에 어떤 사람이었든지 내게는 아무 상관도 없고 하나님께서는 사람을 외모로 받아들이지 아니하시며) 그 유명하다는 사람들은 나에게 아무것도 더해 준 것이 없느니라. But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me： God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me： | |||
| ☞갈2:7 | 오히려 그들은 베드로가 할례자들에게 복음 전함을 맡음과 같이 내가 할례받지 않은 자들에게 복음 전함을 맡은 것을 알았을 때 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; | |||
| ☞갈2:8 | (베드로에게 역사하셔서 할례받은 사람들의 사도 직분을 주신 그 분께서 나에게도 역사하시어 이방인들을 위한 직분을 주셨느니라.) (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) | |||
| ☞갈2:9 | 기둥같이 여기는 야고보와 게바와 요한도 내게 주신 은혜를 알고서 나와 바나바에게 친교의 악수를 하였으니, 이는 우리가 이방인들에게로 가고 그들은 할례받은 자들에게로 감이라. And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. | |||
| ☞갈2:10 | 다만 그들이 바라는 것은 우리가 가난한 사람들을 기억해야 된다는 것이니 이것은 또한 내가 부지런히 행한 바라. Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. | |||
| ☞갈2:11 | 그러나 베드로가 안티옥에 왔을 때 그에게 책망할 것이 있기에 내가 그를 면박하였으니 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. | |||
| ☞갈2:12 | 이는 몇몇 사람이 야고보에게서 오기 전에 그가 이방인들과 함께 먹다가 그들이 오니, 할례자들에게 속한 자들을 두려워하여 뒤로 물러나 혼자 떨어져 있었기 때문이라. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles： but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. | |||
| ☞갈2:13 | 다른 유대인들도 마찬가지로 그와 함께 위선을 행하니 심지어는 바나바까지도 그들의 위선에 끌려가더라. And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. | |||
| ☞갈2:14 | 마침 나는 그들이 복음의 진리를 따라 올바르게 행치 아니하는 것을 보고 모든 사람 앞에서 베드로에게 말하기를 "너는 유대인으로서 유대인처럼 살지 아니하고 이방인들의 방식을 따라 살면서 어떻게 이방인들을 유대인처럼 살도록 강요하느냐?" 하였노라. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? | |||
| ☞갈2:15 | 우리는 본래 유대인이요, 이방의 죄인들이 아니로되 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, | |||
| ☞갈2:16 | 사람이 율법의 행위로 의롭게 되는 것이 아니요, 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 인하여 되는 줄 알고 우리도 예수 그리스도를 믿었나니, 이는 우리가 율법의 행위로써가 아니라 그리스도를 믿음으로 인하여 의로워지고자 함이라. 이는 율법의 행위로는 아무 육체도 의롭게 될 수 없음이라. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law： for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. | |||
| ☞갈2:17 | 만일 그리스도로 인하여 의롭게 되기를 구하다가 우리 자신이 또한 죄인들로 드러난다면 그때는 그리스도가 죄의 일꾼이시냐? 결코 그럴 수 없느니라. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. | |||
| ☞갈2:18 | 이는 만일 내가 헐었던 것을 다시 세우면 내가 나 자신을 범법자로 만들기 때문이라. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. | |||
| ☞갈2:19 | 내가 율법으로 말미암아 율법에게 죽은 것은 하나님께는 살고자 함이라. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. | |||
| ☞갈2:20 | 내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔으나 그럼에도 나는 살아 있노라. 그러나 내가 사는 것이 아니요 그리스도께서 내 안에 사시는 것이라. 내가 이제 육신으로 사는 삶은 나를 사랑하시어 나를 위해 자신을 주신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음으로 사는 것이라. I am crucified with Christ： neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me： and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. | |||
| ☞갈2:21 | 나는 하나님의 은혜를 저버릴 수 없나니, 만일 의가 율법으로 인하여 온 것이라면 그리스도께서는 헛되이 죽으신 것이라. I do not frustrate the grace of God： for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. | |||
