| ☞딤전3:1 | 만일 어떤 사람이 감독의 직분을 원하면 그는 선한 일을 사모한다는 그 말은 참되도다. This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. | |||
| ☞딤전3:2 | 그러므로 감독은 비난받을 일이 없어야 하고 한 아내의 남편이어야 하며, 절제하고 신중하며, 예의 바르고 대접하기를 좋아하며, 가르치기를 잘하고 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; | |||
| ☞딤전3:3 | 술을 즐기지 아니하며, 구타하지 아니하고 더러운 이익을 탐내지 아니하며, 오직 온순하고 다투지 아니하며, 돈을 사랑하지 아니하고 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; | |||
| ☞딤전3:4 | 자기 집안을 잘 다스려서 온전한 위엄으로 자기 자녀들을 순종케 하는 사람이어야 하리라. One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; | |||
| ☞딤전3:5 | (사람이 자기 집안을 다스릴 줄 모르면 어떻게 그가 하나님의 교회를 돌볼 수 있으리요?) (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) | |||
| ☞딤전3:6 | 초신자여서도 아니되나니, 이는 그가 교만으로 높아져 마귀의 정죄함에로 빠질까 함이라. Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. | |||
| ☞딤전3:7 | 또한 외부 사람들로부터도 좋은 평판을 받아야 할지니, 이는 그가 비방과 마귀의 올무에 빠지지 않게 하려는 것이라. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. | |||
| ☞딤전3:8 | 이와 같이 집사들도 신중하고, 일구이언하지 아니하며, 술에 인박이지 아니하고, 더러운 이익을 탐내지 아니하며 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; | |||
| ☞딤전3:9 | 순수한 양심 안에 믿음의 신비를 가진 사람이어야 하느니라. Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. | |||
| ☞딤전3:10 | 이런 사람들을 먼저 관찰해 보고, 그 후에 비난받을 것이 없으면 집사의 직분을 수행하게 할 지니라. And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. | |||
| ☞딤전3:11 | 그들의 아내들도 이와 같이 단정하고 중상하지 아니하며, 절제하고 모든 일에 신실해야 하리라. Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. | |||
| ☞딤전3:12 | 집사들은 한 아내의 남편으로서 자신의 자녀와 집안을 잘 다스려야 할지니라. Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. | |||
| ☞딤전3:13 | 집사의 직분을 잘 섬긴 사람들은 자신들을 위하여 좋은 지위를 얻고 또 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 믿음 안에서 큰 담력을 얻느니라. For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. | |||
| ☞딤전3:14 | 내가 속히 네게 가기를 바라면서 이것들을 쓰노라. These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly： | |||
| ☞딤전3:15 | 그러나 만일 내가 지체하면 네가 하나님의 집에서 어떻게 처신해야 하는가를 알게 하려는 것이라. 이 집은 살아 계신 하나님의 교회요, 진리의 기둥과 터전이니라. But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. | |||
| ☞딤전3:16 | 경건의 신비는 논쟁의 여지없이 위대하도다. 하나님께서는 육신으로 나타나셨고 성령으로 의롭게 되셨으며, 천사들에게 보이셨고 이방인들에게 전파되셨으며, 세상에서 믿은 바 되셨고 영광 가운데로 들려올라 가셨음이라. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness： God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. | |||
