| ☞욘1:1 | 주의 말씀이 아밋태의 아들 요나에게 임하여 말씀하시기를 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, | |||
| ☞욘1:2 | "너는 일어나 저 큰 성읍 니느웨로 가서 그들에게 외치라. 이는 그들의 죄악이 내 앞에 닿았음이라." 하셨으나 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. | |||
| ☞욘1:3 | 요나는 주의 임재를 피하여 타시스로 도망하기 위하여 일어나서 욥파로 내려가 타시스로 가는 배를 만났더라. 그가 주의 임재를 피하여 그들과 함께 타시스로 가려고 배삯을 지불하고 배에 탔더라. But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish： so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. | |||
| ☞욘1:4 | 그러나 주께서 큰 바람을 바다로 보내셨더니, 바다에 큰 폭풍이 일어나서 배가 거의 부서지게 된지라 But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken. | |||
| ☞욘1:5 | 그때 뱃사람들은 두려워서 각자 자기 신에게 부르짖고 배에 있는 물건들을 바다에 던져 그들의 배를 가볍게 하더라. 그러나 요나는 배 밑층으로 내려가서 누워 곧 잠이 들었더라. Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. | |||
| ☞욘1:6 | 그러므로 선장이 그에게 가서 그에게 말하기를 "오 잠자는 자여, 어찌된 일인가? 일어나 네 하나님께 구하라. 혹시 하나님께서 우리를 생각하시어 우리로 멸망하지 않게 하실까 하노라." 하더라. So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not. | |||
| ☞욘1:7 | 또 그들이 각자 자기 동료에게 말하기를 "우리가 제비를 뽑아 누구의 탓으로 이런 재앙이 우리에게 닥쳤는지 알아보자." 하고 그들이 제비를 뽑으니, 그 제비가 요나에게 떨어졌더라. And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah. | |||
| ☞욘1:8 | 그러자 그들이 그에게 말하기를 "우리가 네게 청하노니 누구의 탓으로 이런 재앙이 우리에게 닥쳤는지 우리에게 말하라. 네 직업이 무엇이냐? 너는 어디에서 왔느냐? 네 나라는 어디이며, 너는 어느 백성에게 속한 자냐?" 하니 Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou? | |||
| ☞욘1:9 | 그가 그들에게 말하기를 "나는 히브리인이요, 나는 주, 곧 하늘의 하나님을 두려워하노니, 그는 바다와 육지를 만드신 분이라." 하였더라. And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land. | |||
| ☞욘1:10 | 그러자 그 사람들이 몹시 놀라며 그에게 말하기를 "네가 어찌하여 이렇게 행하였느냐?" 하였으니, 이는 요나가 그들에게 말함으로 그들은 그가 주의 임재를 떠나 도망하는 것임을 알았음이라. Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. | |||
| ☞욘1:11 | 그때 그들이 그에게 말하기를 "우리가 너에게 어떻게 하여야 바다가 우리에게 잠잠하겠느냐?" 하였으니, 이는 바다가 계속 움직여 사나워졌음이라. Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous. | |||
| ☞욘1:12 | 그가 그들에게 대답하기를 "나를 들어 바다에 던지라. 그리하면 바다가 너희에게 잠잠해지리라. 이는 나로 인하여 이 큰 폭풍이 너희에게 임한 것을 내가 알기 때문이라." 하였더라. And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you： for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you. | |||
| ☞욘1:13 | 그럼에도 그 사람들은 배를 육지에 대려고 애써 노를 저었으나 그렇게 할 수가 없었으니, 이는 바다가 계속 움직여 그들에게 사나워졌음이라. Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not： for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them. | |||
| ☞욘1:14 | 그러므로 그들이 주께 부르짖어 말하기를 "오 주여, 우리가 간구하오니 이 사람의 생명으로 인하여 우리를 멸하지 마시며, 무죄한 피를 우리에게 돌리지 마소서. 이는 오 주여, 주께서는 주께서 기뻐하시는 대로 행하셨음이니이다." 하고 Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood： for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee. | |||
| ☞욘1:15 | 그들이 요나를 들어 바다 속으로 던지니 바다가 그 사나움에서 그쳤더라. So they look up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea： and the sea ceased from her raging. | |||
| ☞욘1:16 | 그러자 그 사람들이 주를 심히 두려워하며 주께 희생제를 드리고 서원을 하였더라. Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows. | |||
| ☞욘1:17 | 그때 주께서는 요나를 삼킬 큰 물고기를 예비하셨으니, 요나가 그 물고기 배에서 삼 일 낮과 삼 일 밤을 있었더라. Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. | |||
