| ☞욘4:1 | 그러나 그 일이 요나를 심히 불쾌하게 하였으니, 요나가 매우 노하였더라. But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. | |||
| ☞욘4:2 | 그가 주께 기도하여 말씀드리기를 "내가 주께 간구하오니, 오 주여, 이것이 내가 아직 고국에 있었을 때 내가 말한 것이 아니었나이까? 그러므로 내가 앞서 타시스로 도망하였으니, 이는 주께서는 은혜로우시며 자비로우시고 노하기를 더디하시며 매우 친절하시고 재앙에서 마음을 돌이키시는 하나님이심을 내가 알았음이니이다. And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish： for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil. | |||
| ☞욘4:3 | 그러므로 이제 오 주여, 내가 주께 간구하오니 내 생명을 내게서 취하소서. 사는 것보다 죽는 것이 내게 더 나음이니이다." 하더라. Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. | |||
| ☞욘4:4 | 그때 주께서 말씀하시기를 "네가 성내는 것이 잘하는 것이냐?" 하시더라. Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry? | |||
| ☞욘4:5 | 요나가 그 성읍 밖으로 나가서 성읍 동편에 앉아 거기서 움막을 짓고 그 아래 그늘에 앉았으니, 이는 그 성읍이 어떻게 될 것인지 보려 함이었더라. So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city. | |||
| ☞욘4:6 | 그때 주 하나님께서 박 넝쿨을 예비하사 요나 위로 올라가게 하셨으니, 이는 그의 머리 위에 그늘이 지게 하여 그의 슬픔에서 그를 구해 내시려 함이었더라. 그러므로 요나가 그 박 넝쿨로 인하여 심히 기뻐하였더라. And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. | |||
| ☞욘4:7 | 그러나 그 다음날 아침에는 하나님께서 벌레 한 마리를 예비하시어 그 박 넝쿨을 상하게 하시니 그것이 시들었더라. But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered. | |||
| ☞욘4:8 | 해가 솟아오르자 하나님께서 몹시 뜨거운 동풍을 예비하시고, 해가 요나의 머리를 쬐니 요나가 기진하여 스스로 죽기를 바라며 말하기를 "사는 것보다 죽는 것이 내게 더 낫겠나이다." 하였더라. And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. | |||
| ☞욘4:9 | 하나님께서 요나에게 말씀하시기를 "네가 그 박 넝쿨로 인하여 화를 내는 것이 잘 하는 것이냐?" 하시니, 그가 말하기를 "내가 죽는다 할지라도 성내는 것이 잘한 일이옵니다." 하더라. And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death. | |||
| ☞욘4:10 | 그러자 주께서 말씀하시기를 "네가 수고도 아니하였고 기르지도 아니하였으면서도, 하룻밤에 나와서 하룻밤에 없어진 그 박 넝쿨을 긍휼히 여겼거늘 Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night： | |||
| ☞욘4:11 | 자기들의 오른쪽과 왼쪽도 분별할 줄 모르는 십이만 이상 되는 사람들과 많은 가축들이 있는 저 큰 성읍 니느웨를 내가 아끼는 것이 부당하냐?" 하시니라. And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more then sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle? | |||
