| ☞살전4:1 | 그러므로 형제들아, 끝으로 우리가 주 예수 안에서 간구하고 권고하노니 너희가 어떻게 행해야 하고 어떻게 하나님을 기쁘시게 해야 하는가를 우리들에게서 받은 바와 같이 더욱 더 넘치게 하라. Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. | |||
| ☞살전4:2 | 이는 우리가 주 예수를 통하여 너희에게 준 어떤 명령을 너희가 앎이니라. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. | |||
| ☞살전4:3 | 하나님의 뜻은 이것이니, 곧 너희의 거룩함이니라. 너희는 음행을 삼가고 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication： | |||
| ☞살전4:4 | 너희 각자가 거룩함과 존귀함으로 어떻게 자기 자신의 그릇을 소유하는가를 알며 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; | |||
| ☞살전4:5 | 하나님을 모르는 이방인들과 같이 색욕에 빠지지 말고 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God： | |||
| ☞살전4:6 | 어떤 문제에 있어서도 정도를 지나쳐 자기 형제를 속이지 말라. 이는 우리가 미리 경고하였고 증거한 바와 같이 주께서는 이러한 사람들에 대하여 벌을 주시는 분이시기 때문이니라. That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter： because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. | |||
| ☞살전4:7 | 하나님께서 우리를 부르신 것은 부정함에 이르게 하려는 것이 아니라 거룩함에 이르게 하려 하심이니라. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. | |||
| ☞살전4:8 | 그러므로 경시하는 자는 사람을 경시하는 것이 아니라 우리에게 그의 거룩한 영을 주신 하나님을 경시하는 것이니라. He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. | |||
| ☞살전4:9 | 형제 사랑에 관해서는 너희에게 쓸 필요가 없으니 이는 너희가 하나님께 몸소 배워 서로 사랑하고 있음이라. But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you： for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. | |||
| ☞살전4:10 | 너희가 온 마케도니아에 있는 모든 형제들에게 실로 이것을 행하는도다. 그러나 형제들아, 우리가 너희에게 권고하노니 너희는 더욱 더 많이 하고 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia： but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; | |||
| ☞살전4:11 | 또 우리가 너희에게 명한 것같이 너희는 조용히 하고 너희 자신의 일을 행하며 너희 손수 일하도록 힘쓰라. And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; | |||
| ☞살전4:12 | 이는 외부 사람들에게 단정히 행하고 또한 아무것도 궁핍함이 없게 하려 함이라. That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. | |||
| ☞살전4:13 | 형제들아, 잠든 자들에 관해서는 너희가 모르게 되는 것을 원치 아니하노니 이는 너희가 소망이 없는 다른 사람들과 같이 슬퍼하지 않게 하려는 것이라. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. | |||
| ☞살전4:14 | 예수께서 죽었다가 다시 살아나신 것을 우리가 믿는다면 그와 같이 하나님께서는 예수 안에서 잠든 자들도 그와 함께 데리고 오시리라. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. | |||
| ☞살전4:15 | 우리가 주의 말씀으로 너희에게 이것을 말하노니 주께서 오실 때까지 살아 남아 있는 우리가 잠들어 있는 자들보다 결단코 앞서지 못하리라. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. | |||
| ☞살전4:16 | 주께서 호령과 천사장의 음성과 하나님의 나팔 소리와 함께 하늘로부터 친히 내려오시리니 그러면 그리스도 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God： and the dead in Christ shall rise first： | |||
| ☞살전4:17 | 그리고 나서 살아 남아 있는 우리도 공중에서 주와 만나기 위하여 그들과 함께 구름 속으로 끌려올라 가리니 그리하여 우리가 영원히 주와 함께 있으리라. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air： and so shall we ever be with the Lord. | |||
| ☞살전4:18 | 그러므로 이러한 말로 서로 위로하라. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. | |||
