| ☞요삼1:1 | 장로인 나는 사랑하는 가이오에게 편지하노니, 내가 진리 안에서 그를 사랑하노라. The elder unto the well beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. | |||
| ☞요삼1:2 | 사랑하는 자여, 무엇보다도 네 혼이 잘됨같이 네가 번성하고 강건하기를 바라노라. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. | |||
| ☞요삼1:3 | 이는 형제들이 와서 네 안에 있는 진리를 증거하고 네가 진리 안에서 행한다고 하므로 내가 매우 기뻐하였음이라. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. | |||
| ☞요삼1:4 | 나의 자녀들이 진리 안에서 행한다는 것을 듣는 것보다 더 큰 기쁨이 없느니라. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. | |||
| ☞요삼1:5 | 사랑하는 자여, 네가 형제들과 나그네들에게 무엇을 행하든지 신실하게 행하니 Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers; | |||
| ☞요삼1:6 | 그들이 교회 앞에서 너의 사랑을 증거하였느니라. 네가 하나님께 하듯 그들을 전송하는 것이 잘하는 것이니라. Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church： whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well： | |||
| ☞요삼1:7 | 이는 그들이 주의 이름을 위하여 나가서 이방인들로부터 아무것도 받지 아니하기 때문이라. Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles. | |||
| ☞요삼1:8 | 그러므로 우리가 그러한 자들을 영접하는 것이 마땅하니, 이는 우리가 진리를 위하여 동역자가 되려 함이라. We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth. | |||
| ☞요삼1:9 | 내가 그 교회에 편지를 썼으나 그들 중에 으뜸이 되기를 좋아하는 디오트레페가 우리를 영접하지 아니하니라. I wrote unto the church： but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. | |||
| ☞요삼1:10 | 그러므로 내가 가면 그가 행하는 일들을 기억하리라. 그가 악한 말로 우리를 헐뜯고, 그것으로도 만족하지 않고 형제들도 영접하지 아니하며, 그렇게 하고자 하는 자들을 방해하여 교회에서 내어쫓는도다. Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words： and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church. | |||
| ☞요삼1:11 | 사랑하는 자여, 악한 것을 따르지 말고 선한 것을 따르라. 선을 행하는 자는 하나님께 속하였으나, 악을 행하는 자는 하나님을 보지 못하였느니라. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God： but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. | |||
| ☞요삼1:12 | 데메트리오는 모든 사람과, 진리 그 자체로 증거를 받았으니 실로 그러하도다. 우리도 증거하노니, 너희는 우리의 증거가 참된 줄을 아느니라. Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself： yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true. | |||
| ☞요삼1:13 | 내가 쓸 것이 많으나 잉크와 펜으로 쓰기를 원치 아니하노라. I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee： | |||
| ☞요삼1:14 | 속히 너를 볼 줄 믿노니, 그러면 우리가 대면하여 말하리라. 평강이 네게 있을지어다. 우리 친구들이 너에게 문안하느니라. 친구들에게 이름을 들어가며 문안하라. But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name. | |||
