| ☞요이1:1 | 장로인 나는 진리 안에서 사랑하는, 그리고 나뿐만 아니라 진리를 아는 모든 사람도 사랑하는, 택함받은 부인과 그녀의 자녀들에게 편지하노니 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; | |||
| ☞요이1:2 | 이는 우리 안에 거하고 또 우리와 함께 영원히 있을 진리를 위해서니라. For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. | |||
| ☞요이1:3 | 하나님 아버지와, 아버지의 아들 주 예수 그리스도로부터 진리와 사랑 안에서 은혜와 자비와 평강이 너희와 함께 있으리로다. Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. | |||
| ☞요이1:4 | 네 자녀들이 우리가 아버지께로부터 받은 계명대로 진리 안에서 행하는 것을 보고 내가 매우 기뻐하였노라. I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. | |||
| ☞요이1:5 | 부인이여, 이제 내가 너에게 간구하노니, 내가 네게 새 계명을 쓰는 것이 아니고, 처음부터 우리가 가진 것이니, 곧 우리가 서로 사랑해야 한다는 것이라. And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. | |||
| ☞요이1:6 | 사랑은 이것이니, 우리가 그의 계명들대로 행하는 것이라. 그 계명은 이것이니 너희가 처음부터 들은 바와 같이 너희가 그 사랑 안에서 행해야 한다는 것이라. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. | |||
| ☞요이1:7 | 많은 미혹하는 자들이 세상에 들어왔나니, 그들은 예수 그리스도께서 육신으로 오신 것을 시인하지 않는 자들이라. 이것이 미혹하는 자요, 적그리스도라. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. | |||
| ☞요이1:8 | 너희 자신을 돌아보라. 이는 우리가 이루어 놓은 것들을 잃지 아니하고 온전한 상을 받으려는 것이라. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. | |||
| ☞요이1:9 | 범죄하고 그리스도의 교리 안에 거하지 아니하는 자마다 하나님이 없으나, 그리스도의 교리 안에 거하는 그 사람은 아버지와 아들이 있는 자니라. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. | |||
| ☞요이1:10 | 어떤 사람이 너희에게 오되 이 교리를 가지고 오지 아니하면 그를 집에 영접하지도 말고 그에게 문안하지도 말라. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed： | |||
| ☞요이1:11 | 이는 그에게 문안하는 자는 그의 악한 일들에 참여하는 자임이라. For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. | |||
| ☞요이1:12 | 내가 너희에게 쓸 것이 많으나 종이와 잉크로 쓰기를 원치 아니하며 오히려 너희에게 가서 대면하여 말하기를 바라노니, 이는 우리의 기쁨이 충만케 하려 함이라. Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink： but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. | |||
| ☞요이1:13 | 너의 택함받은 자매의 자녀들이 네게 문안하느니라. 아멘. The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen. | |||
